Ali Fedotowsky says that she wanted to get married right away after getting engaged to Roberto Martinez on the season finale of The Bachelorette, but after 18 months together, she and Roberto were over.

In a new issue of People magazine, which hits newsstands on Friday, Ali says: "I wouldn't be being truthful if I said this came out of nowhere. We definitely had been having problems. But I had always believed that we could work it out."

The 27 year-old from San Francisco was reportedly crying during her interview. She said that she wanted to make it work, but their arguments persisted.

"We both realized we were unhappy more than we were happy. And we both deserved more."

There were rumors in the past that Ali and Roberto would fight all the time, but what exactly were they fighting about?!?! That's what I wanna know.

Ali Fedotowsky, 27, is reportedly "really upset" that things didn't work out with ex-fiance Roberto Martinez. There had been reports that the couple was in trouble for a long time, now a "source" gives us more details.

An insider tells UsWeekly that The Bachelorette couple were "either extremely happy or they can't stand each other." Eventually, the love-hate relationship became unbearable. Eighteen months and three canceled wedding dates later, Ali and Roberto called it quits.

Ali's friend says: "She's actually really upset right now. She's going to be laying low for a while."

Another source adds: "They haven't been well for a long time."

I can't imagine how embarrassing it is to get engaged on television and then have to go through a public breakup. I'd be "really upset" too.

Ali and Roberto allegedly fell in love in 2010 on The Bachelorette. They became engaged on the season finale and Ali moved from San Francisco to San Diego to be with Roberto. She even got a job as a local reporter. In October, Ali said that she and Roberto were doing fine, despite rumors that their relationship was in trouble.

Today, their rep said: "Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have ended their relationship. As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple's privacy."

Damn it! Ali and Roberto were one of my favorite couples! The best couples often just can't stay together. It's the sh!tty relationships that last forever. Sigh.

In August it was announced that Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez would tie the knot next summer, but there may not be a wedding at all. There's trouble in the relationship and a breakup might be right around the corner.

Sources claim their relationship has been "tumultuous since day one" and they're either "extremely happy or they can't stand each other." Another source claims they bring out the worst in each other.

A friend said after a nasty fight, "Ali was in tears. She's miserable in the relationship and he is too."

That's not good. You don't need a crystal ball to predict these two going separate ways by the end of the year, if not sooner.

Ali and Roberto have been engaged since May 2010.

She needs to log some gym time first. "Since her knee surgery in July, she has not been able to work out. She would like to be back in shape for the big day."

ABC will reportedly be broadcasting the wedding and the network wanted the ceremony to take place in December, but Ali doesn't want to be "overshadowed" by Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. Additionally, she really wants to swap I Do's in the summer.

"We had a date set, and that date has now passed. The decision to postpone [the wedding] was very difficult. I definitely shed some tears."

Ali says that she doesn't want to "limp down the aisle," so she has to get better first.

On Ali and Roberto's scheduled wedding day "It was one of the best days we've had, just me and him," she said.

Fedotowsky says that she already feels like she's married.

"In my mind, Roberto is my husband. We live together; we do everything together; we plan for the future together; we fight just like a good old married couple."

Hurry up and get hitched b!tch! Living together will never be the same as being married. You don't get the same tax write off and you can't take away half of his sh!t when he dumps you for a new chick.

Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez are clearly in the honeymoon phase of their relationship, and their in a race to get married. If you're in the honeymoon phase, might as well get married so you can actually go on a honeymoon, right?

Ali says that she and Roberto wouldn't mind eloping. “Planning a wedding is a lot, and we don’t want to go through all the motions. We just want to be married. We’re just excited for that. We’re like, ‘Let’s be married — right now!’ “

The only thing that's stopping them is disappointing their families: “Obviously we want to share it with our family, so we’re not going to do that. But it’s so funny — I’ve even caught myself saying, ‘This is my husband Roberto.’ I always thought it would be funny to even think or say that, but if anything, I feel like it’s hard for me not to say it.”

Having that little slip of the tongue “is when you know it’s the right person,” she adds.

Ali and Roberto may be the cutest couple in the show's history. The Bachelor and Bachelorette franchise so badly needed a couple to get hitched and make it work already. The show's success rate is like 5%.

Star magazine has obtained Ali's secret diary of letters which detail Ali's drinking binges, smoking weed, and taking ecstasy as well what Star calls 'kinky sex desires'. In one of her diary entries, Ali writes about an overdose scare after a night on ecstasy.

“It was really fun at first,” Ali writes of her night of pill-popping. “I went downstairs to sleep at 4:30 and sat there until 6:30. I was completely freaking out. I really thought I was supposed to die. I really thought I would... I was so scared."

Unprecedented in "Bachelorette" history, Ali sent Chris Lambton packing a day before he was scheduled to propose to her. She wanted to spare him of the effort, embarrassment, and long walk of shame down 20 flights of stairs only to be whisked away in a limousine as slow music played in the background and the cameraman zoomed in on his frown. 

The lucky man to win Ali's heart is Roberto Martinez, a 26 year-old former minor league baseball player and current insurance agent.

It wasn't always a smooth ride for Ali. She competed on last season's "The Bachelor" with Jake Pavelka, but she left the show for her job at Facebook in San Francisco. Then this season Ali fell for Frank Neuschaefer, a "Bachelorette" contestant who made it to the final three only to ditch her for his ex-girlfriend in Chicago. Frank, well aware that he's a complete a-hole, didn't even show his mouse face at the "After the Final Rose" special to speak to Ali!

When Roberto proposed to Ali, he said, "I want to make you smile. I want to make sure you wake up every morning for the rest of your life knowing that you're so, so loved." This show is worth watching for all the mush served during the finale alone. Aaaaaahhhh! Ali and Roberto can finally go public with their romance and they are so into each other, there wasn't even half an inch of space between them as they sat on the couch to answer questions from The Bachelorette's host.

During their interview, Ali and Roberto confessed that they used to have text message dates after they got engaged on the show's finale. Ali and Roberto would get dressed, go to the theater, watch the same movie, at the same time, and text each other throughout their entire experience/ date!!!! They are completely ridiculous and I love it!

Roberto is moving his business to San Diego and Ali is moving to SD too. These two are going to make it. They are one of the happiest couples that I've ever seen, on television or in person. However, happiness doesn't keep two people together, compatibility does, and I think Ali and Roberto will be great companions to one another and they both have strong values and they're good people - something that's been lacking in many "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" stars and winners. I friggin' love this couple! Congrats.
