Tim Urban: American Idol's Christian Contestant

At 20 years old, Tim Urban differs from many of his mainstream peers. He claims that he's never drank any alcohol and he enjoys Christian music.

Tim has put his preferences aside and has yet to sing a Christian song thus far in the competition. In fact, Tim Urban sang David Cook's "Come Back To Me" during his Hollywood Idol audition. Tim's song choice is significant cause Cook fans claim that anyone who sings a David Cook song during an Idol audition makes it far in the competition. Interesting. Tim has already made it into Idol's Top 24. Let's see how far he goes.

Tim Urban Replaces Chris Golightly On American Idol

American Idol pulled the ol switcheroo last night when Chris Golightly was picked as a top 24 finalist, but was quickly replaced by Tim Urban. When the top 24 finalists were announced, Chris was seen in the group and was shown again shortly after with the other guys who had been announced as the Top 12 guys.

Tim Urban American Idol Finalist

Ryan Seacrest announced each finalist and showed a quick video clip of each one dancing around on stage, but there was nothing mentioned about Chris. Later Tim Urban appeared and was announced as one of the Top 12 guys and Chris was missing. American Idol didn't explain why Chris Golightly was booted from the show but he reportedly told an AI fan site Joesplaceblog.com that it was because of a previous contract he had with boy band.

Chris had an old contract with a Boy Band. That contract expired in June on 2009. Chris then auditioned in July for American Idol after the contract had expired. When Chris made it to Hollywood, he had to sign the standard AI contract. It asks if he had any current contracts. Chris answered No.

Yesterday afternoon Chris was told if he couldn't prove he was no longer in contract, he would be disqualified. His old manager found his contract and tried getting in contact with the head honchos at AI but nobody would take his call. Next thing you know, no more Chris on Idol. Eventually the big wigs at Fox are going to have to give some kind of explanation as to why Chris was taken off the Top 24 list.

Casey James, Didi Benami, and Todrick Hall Make American Idol's Top 24

The speculation about who will make American Idol's top 24 can begin to die down. Seven contestants were named yesterday in Idol's 2-hour episode that I ditched in order to watch the Olympics. Go Team USA!

Casey James, pictured above, is in Idol's Top 24 - as we previously reported. The Texas singer is a "potential breakout star" this season, but I think this season is filled with great talents. They can all be a "potential breakout star" at this point in the competition.

The other six contestants that made the cut are: Didi Benami, 23, Michael "Big Mike" Lynche, 26, Katelyn Epperly, 19, Aaron Kelly, 16, and Lee Dewyze, 23.

Paige Miles: American Idol Contestant Lies to Judges?

Paige Miles tells Simon Cowell and crew that her group thought of singing Lady Gaga's song "Bad Romance" and that no other group thought of it first. But the footage in the video below reveals that Todrick Hall and Siobhan Magnus' group chose "Bad Romance" and was singing it in front of Paige's group.

Lying is not a good look, honey. You can compare each groups performance of "Bad Romance' in the videos below.

Siobhan Magnus and Todrick Hall Want Your Bad Romance

American Idol's group "Destiny's Wild" sang "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. As his fellow singers began to belt it out, Todrick Hall did a back flip across the Kodak Theatre stage. Why did my gaydar just go off again? Anyway, Siobhan Magnus is rumored to be in the top 24 and this is the first time she surfaces. I really don't think "Bad Romance" should be performed in a group. Ever. It's definitely not my fancy but Siobhan sounded great. We should be seeing much more of her, and soon.

Siobhan Magnus Makes American Idol's Top 24

Siobhan Magnus is a 19 year-old American Idol contestant from Massachusetts.

She auditioned for the reality TV talent contest in Boston. Siobhan looks pretty damn bad when she sings. She contorts her face and looks like she's doing what Oprah calls "the ugly cry" whenever she sings. She puts her all into her performances. Good for her. If only I knew how to pronounce her name. As of now, I pronounce Siobhan Magnus' name as Sigh-O-Ban.

Alex Lambert Makes American Idol Debut

Alex Lambert is rumored to be in American Idol's top 24, but up until now, American Idol viewers didn't even see him appear on the show.

Alex Lambert in Hollywood

Alex Lambert has boy next door looks and a youthful face, but his voice is deep. Alex also dresses like a boy next door. His look doesn't set him apart from the competition, but hopefully his vocals will.

Jermaine Sellers: American Idol Singer Doesn't Like Working in Groups

I can't blame him. Jermaine Sellers was the best singer of his group during American Idol's group auditions in Hollywood. He did great. Jermaine got through to the next round, but he tells everyone that he's not supposed to sing in a group. Agreed.

Michelle Delamor and Ashley Rodriguez: American Idol's 'Irreplaceable' Contestants

Beyonce's song "Irreplaceable" is a very difficult song to sing when you're doing it solo, but making it a group effort is even more challenging. Y'all gotta harmonize and make the judges like what they hear. Michelle Delamor, Ashley Rodriguez and Charity Vance did a good job and they gained the approval of the judges. For the time being, all three girls are irreplaceable Idol hopefuls. Oooooh, did I just get real cheesy? You must not know 'bout me.

Casey James: American Idol Cutie 'Don't Need No Doctor'

Casey James is cute. It's his great head of hair, bare chest and good looks that gained him entry into American Idol's Hollywood round. During Casey's Texas audition, he said that he hoped to make it to Hollywood where he can show the judges what he can do. That he did! But this time he kept his shirt on.

Casey James hot

Casey sang his own song "I Don't Need No Doctor" and the song was good and catchy. Unlike during his Texas audition, in Hollywood Casey was much more comfortable and charismatic. The man may not need a doctor, but he does need a stylist. And once he gets one, watch out now! The Victoria Beckhams and Kara DioGuardis of the world, in addition to the younger demographic, may fall in love with him as he polishes up his look and continues to grow as an artist.
