Some women don't have any standards. Case in point: Nikki Reed of Twilight dating Paul MacDonald, an American Idol finalist.

According to E! news, Nikki and Paul met at the Red Riding Hood movie premiere and they've been spending time together ever since.

Nikki and Paul reportedly keep in touch via Skype; she's busy filming Breaking Dawn in Vancouver and Paul's in Hollywood competing on Idol. The crazy thing is, I wouldn't be surprised if Paul cheated on Reed. I know nothing about Paul or Nikki personally, but some women downgrade because they think it's safe. But as long as a dude has a penis, which doesn't even have to work on its own anymore thanks to Viagra, he may cheat. Skype sex does sound fun though.

Frontrunner and judges' favorite Pia Toscano was voted off American Idol last night in one of the most surprising eliminations in the show's history. Pia had never been among the bottom three vote-getters prior to last night and was previously favored to win the competition. 

"I have no idea what just happened here," said Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. "I'm shocked. I'm angry. I don't know what to say." Pia toughed it out through that embarrassing final song that Idol forces all its losers to suffer through, and then promptly broke down in tears. 

Well, it looks like Pia will never join the hallowed ranks of past Idol winners like Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard. On the plus side, maybe this means she won't balloon to three times her current weight, a la Kelly Clarkson.

Adam Lambert performed an acoustic version of his song "Aftermath," and he did it so well, per usual. Is it just me or is Adam a much more confident performer these days? He also looks so happy, he's glowing! Adam could sing the phone book and make it engaging and beautiful. It doesn't matter how much one likes or dislikes a certain song, when Adam sings it, it's entertaining and damn good!

Chris Medina is one guy with not only a great voice, but also an amazing story about life and love. Chris and his girlfriend have been together for 8 years and engaged for nearly three years. They had made a vow to get married two years after they became engaged, but in October 2009, Juliana was in a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Chris never gave up hope and knew she would make it. After being in a coma for over a month, Juliana woke up.

After Chris sang 'Break Even', the judges met his girlfriend and while Steven Tyler introduced himself he said "I just heard your fiancee sing and he's so good. You know cause he sings to you all the time. That's why he sings so good is because he sings to you."

Seriously that was a tearjerker that was quickly replaced with a smile when they announced Chris was going to Hollywood! Congrats Chris, and good luck!

You can't put two divas on the same show and not expect some b*tching. I saw this coming the moment Jennifer Lopez's name was ever mentioned as a judge!

According to Star magazine, J.Lo's personality is clashing with Ryan Seacrest's and he's already regretting suggesting her as a judge. The cat fights are coming!

“Ryan was the one who first suggested Jennifer, but now he’s starting to regret it, because she’s acting like she’s a much bigger star than he is. Ryan knows the diva behavior is likely to get worse before it gets better. Producers are trying to get them to make peace, but their egos are both pretty big.”

The ho is getting paid too much as it is. Nobody deserves to get paid $12 million for one year as a judge, especially J.Lo! They could cut out a lot of the problems with Ryan and Jennifer if they keep them apart while they're both menstruating, and I'm sure he gets his panties in a bunch when J.Lo's makeup looks better than his. I hope we get to see the claws come out between these two on live TV.

Jennifer Lopez has officially signed on to be an American Idol judge and she will make $12 million for the gig, according to new reports. Jenni was asking for $15 million/ year and a guaranteed movie, but she will be making $12 million instead. Earlier reports suggested that Jennifer was out because of her diva demands. Her requests do sound over the top to me. 

"She was angling for an overall deal at Fox, including a put picture, to keep the movie career going. But Fox said, ‘No.’ In the old days, these were called a 'vanity deal' for good reason. They simply don't exist today."

I've never been a big J. Lo fan. I like when she dances, and that's about it. Idol jumped the shark when they fired Paula Abdul then replaced her with awkward Ellen and now J. Lo is supposed to bring fans in?! Producers need to choose judges with big personalities and those who know WTF they're talking about and doing. Perez Hilton strongly resembles a pig, but he would be much better than Jennifer. Clay Aiken would also be a good judge because he's a snob with a flamboyant divatude, kind of like Tim Gunn of Project Runway. And one of my faves, the incomparable Howard Stern would also be ridiculously entertaining.

According to E! Online, Mariah Carey is still in negotiations to sign on as a judge for American Idol. This is one person I almost wouldn't mind seeing in one of the judge's chairs for the upcoming 10th season, because she actually has talent

"She wants it. She's seen what America's Got Talent has done for [hubby Nick Cannon] and thinks it will be a good career move."

When contacted Thursday evening for comment, a rep for Carey didn't confirm or deny, responding only that there is "nothing to report." Several sticking points remain, but we hear that Fox is optimistic that they will make a deal with Carey.

It's pretty much confirmed that Steven Tyler has signed on, and it would be awesome to get someone like Mariah Carey as a judge on there too. You'd have a rock-n-roll personality paired up with Mariah's pop aspect, which is a match made in heaven. The only problem is, Mariah's pregnant and as the season goes on, she'll become irratable and cranky as her belly grows. Next thing you know there's special commercial breaks so someone can rub the kinks out of Mariah's back, and massage the swelling out of her feet. Maybe this isn't such a good idea after all! I kid.

There's been a lot of gossip hoopla over the last few weeks over who's going to sit at the judging table on American Idol this season.  Although Fox hasn't confirmed or denied if Steven Tyler will be a judge, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton tells the Star Ledger that the 'ink is dry on that'.

"Steven is doing `American Idol.' The ink is dry on that. So, we'll have to work around his schedule for a new record ... Steven is someone who absolutely lives to be in front of an audience, and the people closest to him know how witty and entertaining he can be. I don't know if `American Idol' will be rock 'n' roll enough for him, but it is an opportunity for millions of people to see another side of Steven Tyler."

If nobody else is going to confirm it, Tom Hamilton will! There's still no word on Jennifer Lopez being a judge but her chances are slim considering she's asking for $20 million and her own beauty team. How about finding a judge who is more interested in finding great singing talent rather than a good makeup artist?

That was quick! Jennifer Lopez along with Steven Tyler were rumored to be judges on the upcoming 10th season of American Idol, but sources say Jenny's already off the AI block.  According to People, Jennifer was closing a deal to be a judge, but it fell apart.

“Her demands got out of hand. Fox had just had enough."

 I'm not surprised and I'll bet the rest of you aren't either. She's too high maintenance and too much of a diva to be working on a singing competition show. I didn't like the idea of her being a judge anyway. She can stay home and take care of the twins and Skeletor for all I care!

Late yesterday Ellen DeGeneres announced via her Twitter that she had voted herself off of American Idol.

Ellen's official statement says:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.

"I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Ellen, boo, the day your ass announced that you would be coming to American Idol on your show, I said that you would last ONE SEASON. Just because you're a big fan of a show does not mean that you should take over as one of its main characters. How could such an intelligent person think that she's the right fit for everything just because she's funny?!? Ego is ugly. There is so much more involved in American Idol than telling jokes: The schedule is grueling and, yes, you have "to judge people" when your @ss is a judge!

Anyway, this morning we've learned that Snoopy of Charlie Brown's twin sister Kara DioGuardi has been fired, and the new judging panel will be Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. American Idol is desperate and Jennifer and Steven are also desperate. I give the show two more seasons tops.
