Ashlee Simpson was in Chicago last weekend with her guyliner boyfriend, Pete Wentz, at the Hard Rock Hotel when female fans approached her man. Pete's fans were simply requesting to take pictures with the rocker when Ash reportedly "got whiny and dragged him away."

I do the same thing to the dudes I date, except, instead of them being approached by female fans, it's more like homeless bag ladies with moles on their eyeballs and brown stains on their teeth. I don't wanna take any chances. Ashlee's just cautious.

Pete Wentz says he didn't pick a fight with a heckler at Fall Out Boy's Monday night concert in Chicago. Rollingstone.com reports that the show "turned bloody" when Wentz, 28, and a member of the band's security detail got involved in a "fracas" with a fan an unidentified audience member described as a "250 lb. meathead-looking guy."

Wentz responded toMTV.com:

"The story on the Internet is absolutely false. Yes, we were playing an acoustic afterparty for Spin. It was a good time for the most part.

Yes, the guy was heckling me and the band, so were other people, most in good fun. But we get heckled onstage all the time, and while I'm a jerk, I'm not the kind of person who would ever lash out at someone simply over this.

I mean I'm not as big as Akon and haven't written as many good songs. The truth is on the way out the door I had to pass directly next to the guy and I knew it, so I kept my head down and walked out.

As I did, the guy reached out and grabbed me and said something I couldn't really hear -- it was a glorious use of the English language, though. As he grabbed me, I punched him. Yell all you want at me, say whatever, but in a situation like that I will defend myself.

After that, of course, it got chaotic, [but] we have several independent witnesses that gave statements saying he grabbed me first ... I am not worried over the outcome, as I was clearly in the right. Anything anyone else is saying or writing is simply not true."

This is not the first time Wentz has been accused of fighting with a fan. In January, a video surfaced of a brawl Wentz participated in at a Fall Out Boy concert in New Mexico.

I hadn't seen or heard anything on Ashlee in a while so wanted to throw up these recent pics.

Ashlee Simpson, who made headlines last year when she turned up with a new image and profile, says she's still the same on the inside.

"I feel very confident with the way I look," the 22-year-old singer says in Cosmopolitan magazine's June issue, on newsstands Tuesday. "But I felt just as confident the way I looked before. I've always been confident with who I am."

Though she's been seen recently with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, Simpson has a soft spot for surfer dudes.

"It's really hard for me to like Hollywood-type guys," she says. "I like guys who are relaxed and chill and who think I'm sexy no matter what I do. And I like guys who are into surfing. They're cute and seem more laid-back, and I'm a pretty laid-back person."

What a dumb bitch. If you felt so confident with yourself before, you wouldn't have gotten a nose/chin/lip/cheek job. I'd feel great about myself too if I had thousands of $$ to take all of my imperfections away. You can change everything on the outside but your singing still sucks.

Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz has opened a New York bar and his "dive for losers" sounds like a good place to go!

"It will be a bit of a dive, which we need. We finally have a place where all our loser friends can hang out! We'd had enough of all the pretentious clubs with strict door policies which feel uptight when you finally get in.

We really just want someplace where we can hang out and be ourselves. I want to be like any other regular and drink umbrella cocktails.
