TMZ is searching for a scandalous story that involves Britney Spears' new gig as a judge on The X Factor, so they ran a story yesterday that claimed that Britney walked out of auditions because "she was upset after a contestant butchered her song, "Hold It Against Me."

Claiming that she bailed because she didn't like someone's rendition of her song is ridiculous! Britney isn't that invested in this show or her sh!tty music. She's a puppet who gets paid millions to smile and nod. She isn't dumb enough to walk out on her very first day!

Britney Tweeted that she "just took a short break." TMZ has audio of Brit's first critique and it's just as trashtastic as you'd expect it to be. All Brit does is compliment contestants, telling someone that he could be "the next Justin Bieber." 

Many have suggested that Britney Spears isn't ready for the stress of a weekly live TV show (leave it to Howard Stern to say what everyone's thinking), but now it seems they may be proven right before Brit Brit ever even steps in front of a camera.

Sources close to the pop star claim that the stress of her upcoming X Factor gig is already causing Britney to crack. “Doing X Factor may lead her back into meltdown territory,” a source tells Us Weekly. “She gets extremely nervous and anxious. She’s hard on herself and not very confident.”

Other sources claim Britney is "acting loopy" and "coming undone." One anonymous friend details a recent party in LA where Brit showed up barefoot "muttering obscenities" to herself. “She is very scared and overwhelmed by the thought of it,” says one source of Spears' new job. “She is so happy one minute and sad and crying the next.”

Sounds like in for a repeat of the meltdown from 5 years ago. Get ready for the return of bald Britney!

Wendy Williams explains that Britney Spears is not ready to be a judge on The X Factor. Wendy is completely right. Britney is Paula Abdul from her drunken American Idol days and we will be tuning in just to watch how badly Britney performs on the show. This makes Simon Cowell a genius but this is a bad move for Brit Brit. Based upon all the bad press Christina Aguilera has received from her antics on The Voice, I completely agree. These shows provide too much transparency. We aren't supposed to know how effed up these popstars truly are!

Jason Trawick and Britney Spears went ice skating in New York, where Britney was for The X Factor event at Fox's Upfronts panel. Brit and Jason have been together for years and they'll get married sometime this year (I'm guessing). They make a good looking couple because Jason is easy on the eyes! But what is he doing?

Jason kept his hand on Brit Brit's upper thigh for some reason. Keeping in mind that Britney basically wears panties and a bra every night she performs, there's no logical reason for Britney to suddenly cover up. Was Jason trying to conceal cellulite, or is he beating her and simply covering up a bruise? I know. That sucked, but I'm not going to delete it.

We've been hearing about it for so long that it may seem like old news that Demi Lovato and Britney Spears will be joining the judges panel on The X Factor, but the official announcement was only made yesterday.

The show's new season may still be several months away, but Brit and Demi took their first step toward silencing haters by appearing at the Fox upfronts yesterday on time, seemingly sober, and looking damn good. Both ladies have troubled pasts, to say the least, and there's been talk of producers fearing erratic behavior and public meltdowns.

Host Simon Cowell says he's not concerned and judging from these pics, why should he be? Yes, Brit and Demi have had their problems, but they also both have reputations as hard-working professionals. Don't expect any diva-like, Lindsay on Glee behavior.

One thing you can't say about Howard Stern is that he isn't honest. Howard's season premiere of America's Got Talent airs this Monday and he's doing the rounds with the media in support of his new gig. Britney Spears is an official judge on The X Factor and Stern thinks it's ridiculous!

At a press conference today, the shock jock said: "I think it’s a wonderful decision. Britney still thinks the earth is flat."

He said that she will pull in the ratings though! "I can't imagine… I think we’re going to tune in to see her, to see if she can function through the thing." He said that Simon Cowell and LA Reid will be giving actual critiques while Spears "will sit there and eat a lollipop and wear a sexy outfit."

Sounds about right!

When asked if he'll watch Brit Brit on the show he said: "I'll tune in to see what kind of trainwreck she is, absolutely,"

It's Britney, b!tch has signed on to be a judge on The X Factor this season. Britney will be paid $15 million for just next season. She agreed to the deal weeks ago but has spent the last several days working out the details of her contract.

A source exclusively tells E! news that Brit's contract "is signed."

“There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited. She can’t wait to sit down at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well.

I love me some Brit Brit on TV, so this should be good.       

WILL BRITNEY MAKE A GOOD JUDGE?

Last week, members of The Wanted revealed, to the surprise of absolutely no one, that Christina Aguilera is a "total b!tch." Now they've turned their attention toward another blonde 90s pop icon, and they're still not mincing words.

Siva Kaneswaran, a member of the Brit boy band said in an interview yesterday that when he first crossed paths with Britney Spears backstage at a concert, her security team told him "not to even look" at the pop princess. "We faced the wall for about 10 seconds until she got really far away," Kaneswaran said. When the interviewer suggested that Spears' team was probably "just messing" with the boys, Kaneswaran insisted, "It was serious."

Naturally, reps for Britney deny the claim, and Jay McGuinness admits, "When we actually met her person to person she was so down-to-earth." Spears even tweeted the above photo of herself with the boys. Even so, the incident clearly left a bad taste in their mouths, and we can only hope that this trend of The Wanted exposing b!tchy backstage behavior will continue.

It may sound weird to us, but Britney Spears wants her fiance to be in charge of her affairs. Both Britney's father Jamie and Britney herself wanted Jason Trawick to become the pop icon's co-conservator. Jamie filed the petition earlier this month asking Jason to be added as co-conservator.

TMZ reports: "The lawyers say Jamie is "thrilled." As co-conservator, Jason is now empowered to help decide how Britney will earn and spend her money -- including the $15 million deal she's about to sign with "X Factor."

So is Britney going to legally be in charge of herself again at any point in the future, ever?! Seriously, WTH.

Sometimes, people pull crap that writes itself. And in this case, it might just be best for you to read Diane Story’s words for yourself. Diane is Kevin Federline’s aunt, and apparently she pulled inspiration straight from her nephew’s love life. Her $4 e-book, Pop Baby Krissy Doucet, centers around an out-of-work dancer named Keenan Fazio who falls in love with pop star Krissy Doucet. Sound familiar?

K-Fed was famously a backup dancer for pop princess Britney Spears, and they quickly got married and popped out two kids, much to the shocked faces of everyone around. Though we’ll never know if Brit Brit and K-Fed used light bondage, sex toys, and three-ways in the bedroom, that’s just what you get in this novel.

In a blurb from her website, she writes, “The moment Krissy set her sights on Keenan, she knew he was amazing. Choosing him at the club was one of the best decisions of her life. If that’s not LOL-worthy enough, Ms. Story also has a contest wherein the winner can get one of Britney and Kevin’s original wedding invitations. Way to be subtle. Doesn’t mean we want to read a story in which “lust and love go hand in hand” when that lust and love is happening between those two. That's a time in our lives we'd all like to forget.
