Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon says a new report that she had a breast augmentation is "totally false."The New York Post claimed that she went to a NYC hospital "on the quietest day of the week" for the surgery.

But Nixon, 42 �" who has been open about her battle with breast cancer �" told New York's Daily News that she was there for a checkup.

"I was in the oncology department," she said. "I guess they think that means 'plastic surgery.'"

The actress �" who appeared topless in the new Sex and the City movie �" added, "If I was going to get a boob job, wouldn't it make sense that I'd get it before Sex and the City?"

She said the story "would be annoying and disheartening in any case, but particularly [more so] because I've been so open about my breast cancer."

She also hinted that she is open to wedding girlfriend Christine Marinoni, who is now a stay-at-home mom to her two kids.

"In an ideal world, we'd like to do it in New York, when it becomes legalized," she said when asked about California recently lifting its ban on gay marriage. "Hopefully, it won't take 20 years."

Maybe seeing themselves on the big screen was too much to take for "Sex and the City" stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. Apparently, soon after the movie's release, they both paid a visit to Roosevelt Hospital on 10th Avenue for minor surgeries.

"Cynthia had a breast augmentation and soon after, Kristin had the varicose veins on her legs removed," said an insider. "They both made sure they did it on the quietest day of the week."

It could explain why Davis always wears long hems. Nixon, whose rep denied the surgery, could have been disappointed with her topless scene. Davis' rep had no comment.

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon was on Good Morning America yesterday and spoke of her breast cancer battle she went through in 2006. After going to the doctor for a routine mammogram, her doc gave her the news that she had breast cancer.

Even though Nixon admits to feeling "scared … I was very cognizant of it," she said. "If it's going to happen, this is the best way for it to happen - that it's found so early, and we can just get right on it." Nixon �" who said she kept her diagnosis private because "I didn't want paparazzi at the hospital" �" revealed that her mother had also overcome breast cancer.

"As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor," knowing my personal risk made me more aware and more empowered when I faced my own diagnosis," she said.

The golden girls of Sex and the City got together last night while Cynthia Nixon was honored with the Point Courage Award. Man, I use to think Sarah was kinda cute when Sex and the City first came on HBO but she's really looking long in the face now. Onlookers could have been forgiven for thinking Cynthia Nixon had brought her five-year-old son, Charles Ezekiel, to work. The cute youngster was in fact Joseph, the actor who portrays her on-screen son Brady in the forthcoming silver-screen version of the hit TV series.

According to Michael Ausiello of Tvguide.com, the Sex And The City Movie is a go! New Line Cinema is on the verge of closing the deal to distribute the pic in association with HBO. Shooting is to being in September with all 4 leading ladies: Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall returning for their roles. Look for an official announcement coming soon.

It's been a couple years since the show ended so I'm sure Kim Cattrall could use a vaginoplasty before shooting starts. That's probably why she held out on the deal so long. She needed more money to get her poon tucked and lifted for the movie.
