Dakota Fanning is officially an adult now and she knows exactly what she wants. Dakota goes to NYU and she knows that she has a thriving career but she's in college because she wants to be. Dakota has always been mature beyond her years and she proves it in her new feature in C magazine.

Dakota has a role in a new indie movie called Effie about a teenage bride. When Fanning was asked if she's ever been in love before, she said: “Ahh, not really. No. I would have to say no … but Effie wasn’t really in love with her husband, either, which made [filming the movie of the same name] easier.”

That's surprising, to me at least, but this chick is dedicated to her craft. Romance can wait.

On college: “I’m not going to school for a career. I’m going for my own interest, for myself. I already know what I want to do forever.”

On turning 18: “I feel like this new chapter as an adult is almost like starting over. That’s the interesting part about getting older in this business. I’m excited to present myself differently.”

Dakota Fanning has been named Cosmopolitan's "Fun Fearless Female" and the young actress graces the cover of Cosmopolitan's February issue. She looks older than a 17 year-old on the cover, but she's not even legal yet! Posing along such headlines like “His Best Sex Ever,” “Too Naughty to Say Here,” and “Um, Vagina, Are You Okay Down There?” it's evident that this sh!t is completely inappropriate.

Dakota has many tween fans. Does Cosmo want to reach a younger audience?! How about we just agree to have Cosmo's cover models be at least 18 years old, for the love of gawd? Young celebs have young fans, and young girls are already bombarded with trashy role models and products like Kardashian Barbie dolls.

That being said, I had a subscription to Seventeen when I was 11 years old and I started reading Cosmopolitan magazine when I was around that age too. Where else was I to go to learn invaluable advice like "Put a donut on his penis and then give him a blowjob" or "Find Out What He Thinks About Your O-Face." I hate this sexist magazine with a passion, but it always makes me LMFAO.

Dakota Fanning put on a Louis Vuitton dress and a baby blue Prada ensemble for the cover photo of ELLE UK's February 2012 issue. Dakota says that her younger sister, Elle Fanning, is more stylish than she is.

“She’s the go-to fashion person in the family. Elle knows every single model, every single collection, every single piece from every single collection." Dakota said.

She continued to praise her sister, saying: "She has a real passion, and it’s not at all in a materialistic way. She genuinely appreciates the workmanship and creativity.”

Dakota revealed that her sister was photographed in her clothes last summer and she called her up and told her "I caught you!" Ha. Well Elle may be fashion forward, but Dakota looks beautiful. Nice lips!

Dakota Fanning, 17, did an ad campaign for Marc Jacobs' Oh, Lola! perfume but the photos won't be published in Britain. The BBC reports that Dakota's picture did not meet the U.K.'s Ad Standards Authority guildelines.

According to the watchdog group's report: "The length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualize a child.”

The ASA considers the advertisement to cause "serious offense" and said that the picture must not appear again.

I've been trying to find a way to describe why I support this by using smart people words, but that's not gonna happen. I think it's great whenever a country rejects something American in favor of upholding its traditional standards, as long as those standards aren't oppressing anyone.

Dakota Fanning has posed for famed photographer Terry Richardson. I didn't know Dakota had such a cute little mouth and I didn't know that she wasn't a big fan of waxing her eyebrows, until now.

Instead, she’s pulling an Olsen and renting her own two-bedroom luxury condo, with people like John Mayer and Theodora Richards as neighbors.

She’ll never get sexiled, she won’t have to eat sh!t food, and she will never reach that moment, midway through first semester, when she feels like b!tch-slapping her roommate. Typical college experience this will not be!

I think Dakota’s aware that she’s not a normal teenager, as she jokingly told People magazine that she won’t start downgrading into a swirl of Twisted Tuesday tequila shots and a wardrobe of Juicy sweats and UGG boots now that she’s a college girl.

“If you ever catch me in sweatpants in class, that’s not good. I’ve tried not to dress like that.”

Dakota Fanning has won Homecoming Queen the past two years in a row - school must be good to her - so it's no shock here that she would want to continue with some higher learning. Dakota, 17, graduated from North Hollywood private school Campbell Hall this week, and she has plans to keep her studies going.

Last fall, Dakota said: “I think it was really important to have the high school experience. I just think everyone always looks back on that time in their life. Who was homecoming princess and [did] the cheerleading … and all the things that go along with high school? And I wanted to have that. I’m really lucky that I found a school that allows me to do both.”

Life is good for the most famous Fanning. Now that she's done with high school, Dakota will enroll in New York University this fall!

Dakota Fanning, the always beautiful Ashley Greene, and a covered up Kellan Lutz were all spotted at LAX yesterday. Dakota and crew left Los Angeles to begin filming the second installment of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn."

The first installment of Breaking Dawn hits theaters on November 18, 2011. Anyone else can't wait to see it? I wanna see Bella and Edward ravage each other; but this crap is rated PG-13, so Bella and Edward's love scene may bring us lots of closed mouth kisses, loud music, and a distant shot of Patsy giving Kristen Stewart only one thrust. Dakota Fanning gets what she wants. The homecoming queen for the past two years, who also stars of one of the most successful movie franchises of all time, can now add 'IMG model' to her resume.

Dakota has signed a modeling contract with IMG models. Other IMG models include Liv Tyler and Lauren Hutton. Taylor Momsen is no longer with IMG, she had signed on two years ago. Uh, ya, Dakota kicks Taylor's @ss in the looks and class department. Ms. Fanning photographs very well. She's the perfect one for the task, if she doesn't get pressured to lose any weight - she looks great and healthy as she is.

Fanning was crowned Saturday at Campbell Hall in North Hollywood for the second year in a row. Fanning is currently reprising her role as Jane while filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Dakota Fanning was acting alongside Sean Penn when some of her peers were still potty training and she's poised to be the next Meryl Streep, IMO. It's time to put these petty vanity projects aside and spend more time studying to go to Harvard like Natalie Portman did. Considering how under the radar Dakota is when it comes to the tabloids, which can extend one's career, she needs a degree as a backup plan in case this whole acting thing doesn't work out for her. These days talent only gets you so far!
