David Beckham flew back to the U.K. Thursday after his father, Ted Beckham, suffered a heart attack. The Los Angeles-based soccer star, 32, dropped everything and dashed to the airport as soon as he was told the news.

"His father has had a heart attack and is currently being treated in [the] hospital," the athlete's rep confirms. "David is flying back to be with him. He is obviously incredibly concerned and wants to be with him."

The elder Beckham, 59, from east London, suffered chest pains Wednesday evening. A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirms that its dispatchers were called and arrived just after 9:20 p.m.

Chivas USA soccer player Jesse Marsch tripped David Beckham from behind. Becks then ran over to Jesse and began yelling in his face. A shocked Jesse "stood his ground" while David was pulled back by his team.

Posh's hubby continued yelling when the referee tried to move Jesse out the way, but the rest of the L.A. Galaxy team ran onto the field and tried to calm things down.

"It was a professional foul, and maybe it was a little bit harder than I would have liked it to have been," Marsch admitted. He also apologized to Beckham during the second half. "I tried to tell him that I respect his game, respect what he's about, and he just kind of gave me a nod, but he was kind of done with me then."

L.A. Galaxy's coach later admitted that David is not completely healed from his ankle injury and he should not have let him compete.

The Beckhams have beefed up security and drafted in extra bodyguards after a sexy stalker, described as a "gorgeous" teenage girl, followed David to his Toronto hotel room. The obsessed fan sneaked past security at a hotel in Toronto, Canada, where David was staying with LA Galaxy team-mates, and reached his bedroom door."This creepy girl was clearly determined to come face-to-face with David," says an employee at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto.

"It's still not clear whether this was an attempt by the stalker girl to have a romantic liaison with David or whether she actually wanted to do him some harm," a Beckham insider claims.

"That's why Victoria took it so seriously and that's why it freaked her out so much. Victoria is on edge about their personal security already. She has asked minders to sweep shops twice before she goes in. Victoria realized how exposed it had left them, and immediately insisted their hire three more guards."

Hello everyone,

I know, another blog so soon, but after my game yesterday I couldn't wait to let you know how I felt.

It was incredible to finally start the game against D.C. United but to actually score a goal in my first proper home match was more than I could have hoped for, and an intensely amazing moment for me. On top of that I was handed the captain's armband for the start of the game and I felt very proud to have been given that honour so early on in my career here. I definitely hope there are a few more of those!

I felt fit, so that was very encouraging and I was pleased to play a good hour of the game, but especially pleased that we won and we're in the final of the SuperLiga. The fans were superb all night and I thought we deserved to go through, even though D.C. gave us a few problems and are a very strong team.

I'm now looking forward to our next game against Red Bull New York and hope to play a part in that. Hopefully, we can build on last night's fantastic result.
