David Cook's Brother Adam Cook Dies of Brain Cancer

adam cook dies

David Cook's brother Adam Cook, 37, was a source of inspiration and support for the seventh season American Idol winner. Adam could be found in the Idol crowd during any given televised performance, cheering for his brother. Adam was also a married father and lawyer.

David had cancelled two shows from his current tour to be with Adam. Sadly, after battling cancer for over ten years, Adam died on Saturday. David announced the news Sunday morning before the 12th annual Race for Hope 5K in Washington D.C. Adam was unable to be with his brother at the time of his passing.

Paula Abdul issued a statement. Paula's publicist said,

"Adam Cook was a part of our extended American Idol family who supported his brother wholeheartedly, even through his own fight. My heart goes out not only to David, but his family as well." What Paula meant to say was "Throughout the rounds, Adam Cook would always cheer on his brother David, our American Idol. And although David won the competition, Adam has won our hearts! He is now a daisy that lives inside of a sunflower."

Simon Cowell said, "I was incredibly saddened to hear the news. I met Adam Cook a few times at American Idol. He was an incredible guy, and right now my thoughts are with David and his family."

My condolences go out to the Cook family. R.I.P.

David Cook Tells His Psycho Fans to Give Him Space

David Cook wants his fans to have a lil respect and reminds them that they do not have access to his private life.

David blogged the following message,

Hey everyone,
First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been coming out to the shows since my last post. The vibe at these shows has been amazing.

Secondly, I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing. We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster.

To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you.

I hope this doesn't come off as harsh. I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up. Take care and see you at the next show.

Hmmm... attaching things to tour buses? What do you think would keep a thong attached to a tour bus? I'll try superglue. Elmer's is shit.

David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell are Dating

American Idol David Cook

Kimberly Caldwell, the fun loving American Idol contestant turned TV Guide channel host, is now banging American Idol winner, David Cook.

Kimmy interviews and reports on all things Idol, among other topics, so she was well versed on who David Cook is, and how could she resist? Guitar players are sexy. Being the creative skank that she is, she decided to move in on his peen, not missing an opportunity to date an up and coming rockstar.

American Idol champ David Cook and season two alum Kimberly Caldwell are making sweet music together. On Tuesday's Live With Regis and Kelly, he revealed that they recently went on a date after meeting through the hit Fox show.

Asked if he had a good time, Cook, 25, said, "I did. We'll probably hang out again. So we'll see."

I really enjoyed watching Kim compete on the show years ago. She's so fun. Such a damn skank, she is, which, of course, makes me a fan. I like chicks who bang the people they work with. It just means you have standards and prefer men who are employed. It's actually respectable.

David Cook Wins American Idol, Woot!

david-cook.jpg

I was actually live blogging during American Idol. I have a post saved as a draft, but I couldn't bring myself to post it. That was mostly a result of how bored I was during large segments of last night's American Idol finale. But thank God for Paula Abdul. I love my dancing, bawling crackhead bitch! :)

* I'll be posting performance videos later today.

David Cook is the newest American Idol!

The 25-year-old bartender from Blue Springs, Mo., became the seventh American Idol Wednesday in front more than 7,000 screaming fans at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre.

"I started this season " much to Simon's chagrin " as the word nerd and I'm absolutely at a loss for words," Cook told the crowd after hearing the news, referring to his love of vocabulary, which was highlighted in one of his earliest moments on the show. "Thank you guys. This is amazing. Thank you."

After Ryan Seacrest broke the news, Cook fought back tears as reality set in, but he took a moment to congratulate his final competitor, 17-year-old David Archuleta, of Murray, Utah. The two Davids hugged, and Archuleta raised his arm in congratulations to the season's winner.

During Tuesday's performance show, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson said that Archuleta clearly won the night. But last week, Cowell predicted that Cook would take the title. "He's done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks," Cowell said. "He's taken more risks, he's done things with certain songs that have been more interesting."

American Idol's David Cook Hospitalized For High Blood Pressure

"American Idol" contestant David Cook was treated at a hospital Tuesday night for high blood pressure, "Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe said."

After the show, he [Cook] was in the elevator and said he was going to go to the hospital. He said he had high blood pressure and wasn't feeling well. Now he's back at the hotel," Lythgoe said in a text message to Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest told listeners of his KIIS-FM broadcast that "I don't know what he was stressed about. He said yesterday that his blood pressure was high and he wanted to get checked out after the show."

The singer, a 25-year-old Missouri bartender, is now "doing fine," People magazine reported.

I don't know too much about David, all I know is I wanna fuck him, which isn't saying much. He plays the guitar, that was easy. I've only seen him perform twice because I'm over "American Idol," but I do think he has a good shot at winning.
