David Cook's Brother Adam Cook Dies of Brain Cancer

David Cook's brother Adam Cook, 37, was a source of inspiration and support for the seventh season American Idol winner. Adam could be found in the Idol crowd during any given televised performance, cheering for his brother. Adam was also a married father and lawyer.
David had cancelled two shows from his current tour to be with Adam. Sadly, after battling cancer for over ten years, Adam died on Saturday. David announced the news Sunday morning before the 12th annual Race for Hope 5K in Washington D.C. Adam was unable to be with his brother at the time of his passing.
Paula Abdul issued a statement. Paula's publicist said,
"Adam Cook was a part of our extended American Idol family who supported his brother wholeheartedly, even through his own fight. My heart goes out not only to David, but his family as well." What Paula meant to say was "Throughout the rounds, Adam Cook would always cheer on his brother David, our American Idol. And although David won the competition, Adam has won our hearts! He is now a daisy that lives inside of a sunflower."
Simon Cowell said, "I was incredibly saddened to hear the news. I met Adam Cook a few times at American Idol. He was an incredible guy, and right now my thoughts are with David and his family."
My condolences go out to the Cook family. R.I.P.
