Didi Benami can start bawling at the drop of a dime, and it's her sensitivity that fuels her captivating performances. Be thankful you're so sensitive, honey! Didi brings raw emotion to her performances and that's what makes them great. She pulls you in. I think she could be an actress on the side.

American Idol semi-finalist Didi Benami impressed the most important American Idol judge of them all last night, Simon Cowell. In fact, Simon disagreed with Randy Jackson and said that her entire performance was a "wow moment."

Simon said, "I thought that was head and shoulders above anything else we’ve heard tonight."

Didi faced harsh criticism last week, but she just picked up her guitar, sang, and strummed along as she performed "Rihannon" by Fleetwood Mac. She has a great personality and a commercial voice. Go Didi.

Didi Benami sang Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am" and it's a slow song. It's a risky song for Idol because you're supposed to entertain, not make viewers nod off.

But Didi did a great job, something that the judges don't care about, really. You need to stand out. You need to be interesting. In summary, you need to be Adam Lambert, I swear. Sometimes the judges talk to contestants like they're supposed to be doing something similar to what Pink did at the Grammys or spitting fire outta their throats in between verses. I get what they're trying to say, but damn, these contestants are under such scrutiny and pressure.

Didi knows her strengths. She sounds commercial and polished. However, she should take more risks if she wants to stand out.

The speculation about who will make American Idol's top 24 can begin to die down. Seven contestants were named yesterday in Idol's 2-hour episode that I ditched in order to watch the Olympics. Go Team USA!

Casey James, pictured above, is in Idol's Top 24 - as we previously reported. The Texas singer is a "potential breakout star" this season, but I think this season is filled with great talents. They can all be a "potential breakout star" at this point in the competition.

The other six contestants that made the cut are: Didi Benami, 23, Michael "Big Mike" Lynche, 26, Katelyn Epperly, 19, Aaron Kelly, 16, and Lee Dewyze, 23.

Who the hell has the balls to sing the song written and performed by a judge and hope that the judge will think it's good? Didi Benami, that's who!

Didi Benami has a great voice! Simon Cowell gave her a "small yes" during her audition, but she has seemed to find confidence, poise, a guitar and a hair straightener since then and she killed it. Didi reminds me of Colbie Caillat. There's definitely room for her in mainstream music and female singer-songwriters - Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Pink are dominating the charts.

Didi Benami's best friend Rebecca passed away. Rebecca was one of Didi's biggest fans, so Didi auditioned in memory of her friend.

Didi sang the Beatles "Hey Jude" and she made the song her own. Simon Cowell reluctantly sent her to the next round while Avril Lavigne said that she has a lot of potential.

Didi's real name is Vered Benami. Vered is Hebrew for the word "rose." Didi's from Los Angeles and she's rumored to be in American Idol's Top 24.
