Actor and notorious ladies man Eddie Murphy has found his latest victim - R & B singer and Vh1 reality star Toni Braxton.

Eddie - who has amassed 8 kids from his many previous relationships - joined Toni backstage at one of her recent concerts and they've reportedly been spending a lot of time together. Officially, they're "just friends," but a source close to the couple says, "Their kids have met and everything. It's getting very serious."

Eddie Murphy will be hosting the Academy Awards in February. Last year James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosted the show, so pretty much anyone is going to do a better job than James and Anne did last year. Should we be excited?

"Eddie is a comedic genius, one of the greatest and most influential live performers ever," telecast producer Brett Ratner says. "I know he will bring excitement, spontaneity and tremendous heart to the show."

If you say so! The Oscars can only bring so much "excitement and spontaneity" each broadcast considering that Hollywood's elite is so stuffy and uncomfortable on Oscar night.
