"She has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday," Nasseri said in a letter provided by Momsen's manager.

Fortunately, the doctor predicts that Momsen, 15, will be fine. "After aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days."

Momsen hopes to return to Gossip Girl's New York City set by the end of the week, the CW network says in a statement.

"Taylor Momsen is a beloved member of our Gossip Girl cast and we are happy to report she is on the road to a speedy recovery," says the statement. "We all look forward to her planned return to work on Friday."

I give Lindsay Lohan's lesbian relationship until January tops!!

Lindsay met Chace at the Diesel XXX Rock party in NY where they exchanged numbers. Lindsay, being the well put together subtle woman that she is, has been calling him up to four times a day sometimes. When they met, a source said Lindsay's vajayjay was starving for some of Chace's sausage.

A source says: "Lindsay took a real shine to Chace and was pretty much throwing herself at him all night."

I don't think Samantha deserves to get hurt like this, or maybe she does? Nah, she doesn't. It's sad when anyone gets with someone when their partner's sexuality is questionable.

I'm sure Lindsay was a freak in and outside the sheets, but it sounds like Linds and Sam aren't gonna make it very much longer. We can only hope that Lindsay will stick to men or make up her damn mind already. Then again, Chace is the prettiest guy out there, way hotter than Samantha and more naturally glam than Zac Efron. I had a good time watching Gossip Girl last night. I'm proud to say I've gotten into this trash last season. Details magazine dug up some info on Chace's past. All of these boys are absolutely delicious!! Great cover choice. :)

Growing up in the wealthy Dallas suburb of Plano, Crawford says he wasn't anything like his Gossip character, the preppy Nate Archibald.

• He moved on to college to study broadcast journalism at California's Pepperdine University, but dropped out.

• He briefly worked a valet (Suge Knight was a client!) before moving on to modeling. But being handled and positioned made him feel "like an animal," he says.

• When he signed on for Gossip, he says he wasn't sure the show would last. So he asked co-star Ed Westwick to be his roommate.

"Once when we were on location on the Upper East Side," he says, "these girls came up, you know, with the Blair headbands and their skirts hiked up higher than they should be, and I said to them, 'So, are you looking at colleges?' and they said, 'No, we're in seventh grade.'"

Says Crawford, "I was like, 'What?! You shouldn't even be watching our show!'"

The actress was born to a mother who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for smuggling marijuana.

Her mom Connie was pregnant with Leighton when she entered federal prison in Texas. At 29, she gave birth while she was just beginning her sentence following a conviction for her involvement with a drug ring that smuggled 1,200-pound shipments of marijuana into the United States from Jamaica.

Meester's rough start gives her perspective today.

"It makes me very nonjudgmental and open-minded," the 22-year-old tells Us. "And I think it just makes me appreciate the things that I have now."

Gossip Girl director Michael Fields tells Us: "She's talked about it a little bit. She's not a person who is trying to hide it."

Now, Meester and her mom - who was released in 1986 after serving only 16 months - have a solid relationship.

"She's always there for me no matter what," Meester tells Us. "I swear, that woman knows everything."

Drew Barrymore attended the Kings of Leon concert in NYC Saturday night when she became a cougar, shoving her tongue down 21-year-old Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick's throat.

After the concert, Barrymore, 33, and Westwick, 21, took their PDA to Bowery Electric. It is the second time in a week that Barrymore and Westwick locked lips.

They were spotted chatting this past weekend at a Saturday Night Live after-party, which The Kings of Leon also played. They then headed to NYC's hip Fat Cat Billiards, where they stayed until 6 a.m., shooting pool with Gossip Girl cast members (including Crawford), actress Ellen Page and Emile Hirsch.

On the differences between who she is and her onscreen persona, Serena van der Woodsen.

"There wasn't a period in my life like Serena went through, where I was doing drugs and having sex with my best friend's boyfriend. I never went through that kind of crazy.

Not only does kissing three guys means Blake has probably had sex with three men, she also sucks ass at kissing! Girl, shut it! A true lady never tells. I like Blake for saying this, though. The girl has some self-control!

I've blogged stories about Ed being a man whore. He's a slut and he's into chicks. Chace probably swings both ways, but Ed was just dating Leighton. And, in summary, this rumor was probably crafted by their publicists to get more attention and buzz to the low-ratings series.

We've been contacted by entertainment reporters - within days of each other - from the NY Post and the NY Daily News. They both wanted to share a juicy piece of info - too juicy to print, they said.

Seems like on-set sources, which the pubs tell us are reliable, have told each paper that Chace Crawford and Gossip Girl co-star and real-life roommate Ed Westwick are in a relationship and not trying to hide it, at least on set.

BOTH NY papers tell us that Chace and Ed were recently seen kissing, open-mouthed on set.

The Post and Daily News both declined to publish this item because they don't like to "out" people. Well, it's either true or someone(s) is/are trying to spread rumors to both New York papers about the Gossip Girl co-stars.

Alright, Gossip Girl is far from being the "Best. Show. Ever" like New York magazine professes, but it's fun and I think it's only gonna get better.

If you're a female and you don't think the guys are hot enough to tune in and watch, you should just check it out for the fashion. The Gossip Girl characters wear the most expensive, top designer fashions. If you're not watching for the simulated teenage sex, watch it for the stilettos and the purses.
