Quote Me Of The Day: Isaiah Washington
Isaiah's still trying to prove he's not homophobic. He had an interview with the Houston Chronicle where he said:
"I've been working with lesbian and gay [sic] for 21 years in this business. In New York, my first job was given to me by ... an African American lesbian. My whole existence has co-existed evenly and beautifully with individuals who happen to be gay."
The "f-word" incident won't go away because Isaiah keeps it alive. He needs meds.
Sara Ramirez Has Milk

Sara Ramirez couldn't possibly be any prettier. She's a dime piece, absolutely gorgeous and she's not bony, she's healthy. I would say 'big is beautiful' but that only applies to some women and Sara's definitely one of 'em! Tho I wouldn't even describe her as "big," she looks great and fit and she's doin' the damn thing! Plus Ms. Ramirez is very talented too.
On a side note, a few weeks ago my friend told me he went to school with Sara. I said, 'WTF?!' I wanted some dirt and some secrets to expose on POTP, but he didn't have any.
Sara is apparently one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet - ambitious, positive, determined, and I've been told her voice is killer. I bet her upcoming album's gonna be hot!
Because Every Other Blogger Is Mentioning Isaiah Washington
Isaiah Washington says T.R. Knight should have been fired. "They fired the wrong guy."
Isaiah sounds like a kid. He's basically saying, 'he started it!' Isaiah claims T.R.'s the one who decided to broadcast the idea that the slur was targeted at him and thus created a negative work environment.
He accused T.R. of wanting a salary increase and a more meaningful role. In regards to Knight's appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he confirmed that Isaiah used his sexuality against him, Washington asserts: "That's a lie. I used the word during a disagreement with Patrick. I apologized for that. We shook hands and went back to work."
Washington pointed out that he also participated in a public service announcement where he spoke out against homophobic, racist and sexist language: "I did everything I said I would do. I offered to go to counseling, to do a public service announcement. I wanted everyone to know I was remorseful."
He says that he was shocked when he found out that ABC would not renew his contract:
"That was a shock. I did everything they told me to do, including not saying anything, and then they didn't renew my contract. That's not fair."
Washington went on to say that he made three errors in judgment: "believing the cast of Grey's Anatomy were like family; believing I had the freedom to express myself with family and that we could resolve our issues; and trusting ABC was going to take care of me."
When Washington found out that he was fired, he released a statement saying: "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore."
Now he says: "I'm not angry. I'm disappointed."
Isaiah also confirmed that he's considering filing a lawsuit. "I have to clear my name. My livelihood, my honor and dignity and my name have been so challenged."
I hesitated to cover this because Isaiah makes me nauseous. I'm not even going to make fun of him, there's nothing to make fun of.
Isaiah made a blunder and he's paying for it severely, it's sad. What's even worse? Isaiah doesn't know what "shut the fuck up" means and his reps are misguiding him. If they make muzzles for Saint Bernard's I'm sure Isaiah's head can fit into one of those things. Just wrap that shit around his neck and he'll be good to go! But ya gotta wire his jaw shut first just in case.
Katherine Heigl Will Do Anything For Money
âKnocked Up' star Katherine Heigl has partnered with a healthcare-clothing company to launch the Katherine Heigl Collection-a line of fashionable scrubs for healthcare professionals.
The actress who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the Golden Globe winning series âGrey's Anatomy' says of her new project:
"I have tremendous respect for women in the healthcare industry and I know that it is often a difficult and thankless job.
I wanted to create a line of scrubs that would allow women to infuse some of their personality and style into their work apparel. When you feel good about how you look, you are more confident, more motivated and it can lift your spirits." Translation: I'm an opportunist and I suck. Buy my shit.
WTF Pic Of The Day: McPretty In Pink
He's Mad As Hell and He May File A Lawsuit
When Isaiah Washington was fired from "Grey's Anatomy" he issued a statement saying "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore," and he's proving it.
Isaiah's spokesman, Howard Bragman, said Isaiah doesn't know why he wasn't fired right after the "F-word" incident."
Howie said, "why didn't they fire him when [the incident] happened? Why did they say, 'Here's what you need to do if you want to come back⦠' and then, when he did everything that was asked of him, he still gets fired. Why do you treat somebody like that?
"If you made a mistake, you acknowledged the mistake, you went into counseling, you met with the groups, you did the PSA, you did everything that was asked of you, and then they still kick you in the gut? How would you feel?"
Howie said they're going to have more talks with ABC and they're not ruling out a possible lawsuit.
The gay mafia was behind this! I've heard about the gay mafia, 'bout how they make hot straight men give them oral during auditions so they can get roles. Now I know they exist! Fierce?!
But seriously, a POTP reader gave me her thoughts on Isaiah's firing and I thought I'd share 'em. She said that Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes wanted to keep Isaiah but T.R. Knight said 'It's him or me!' Notice how shortly after T.R. got his new contract deal, Isaiah was let go?! Hmmm...
Isaiah Washington Has Been Fired From Grey's Anatomy!!!

Isaiah Washington has been fired from the ABC hit "Grey's Anatomy."
Washington's rep, Howard Bragman, confirmed that "Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes called Isaiah today and told him he would not be invited back to the show next season.
TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, who first broke the story, reports that the decision was due only in part to Washington's on-set troubles, and was a result of a "pattern of problematic behavior."
As for how he feels about his termination, Washington issued the following statement: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."
"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."- Sounds like Isaiah's learned how to keep his mouth shut when he's upset. Now that's growth!
Shonda should have fired Isaiah earlier. If she wanted him to finish out the season, she could have fired him shortly after the season finale aired. Isaiah tried to right his wrong and he went to rehab for his anger, but Shonda cracked under pressure.
I don't feel like there's any reason to rejoice or shed tears. Dr. Burke was an ass and one-dimensional, watching him and Christina together was painful. They were like the worst couple ever!
Isaiah Washington should be the least of Grey's Anatomy's problems. Fans have been disappointed with how Meredith has gone through the ringer this season and the show has been getting pretty stupido.
Isaiah needs to play a gay prostitute for his next role if he wants people to get over this. And he's gotta be a power bottom too.
Katherine Heigl Still Not Happy With Grey's Contract

Katherine Heigl and ABC are "still not seeing eye-to-eye" on Heigl's "Grey's Anatomy" deal, sources say. And Heigl's sudden box-office success in the movie "Knocked Up" has thrown a monkey wrench into the months-long stalemate - snarling an already tangled situation. What remains to be seen is whether Heigl can use her sudden "Knocked Up" clout to force ABC's hand into giving her the raise she's been demanding.
"She doesn't have a lot of leverage right now," says one talent agent familiar with the type of long-term deal Heigl signed with ABC.
"The movie doesn't do anything to help her. A big opening doesn't mean [the box-office] will sustain itself.
"It depends on who you are - if you're a good citizen, [a network] will try to help you out."
Maybe she will get more money considering the info on T.R. getting a bump up in his cash flow. She needs to go ahead and stick out her contract. She also needs to remember she hadn't been heard of much before Grey's Anatomy came on. As far as I can remember, it had been years since she had even a remotely decent role in a movie.
