Just when I was feeling sorry for myself because the gossip has been sucking, I have good shiz to get to. I think one of my final posts of the day will be the John Mayer and Perez Hilton scandal because I’m dying to weigh in.
And, as you’ve probably noticed, I ignored the Heath Ledger love child rumor because it’s disrespectful and ridiculous. But, here ya go. Heath’s uncle talked to Us magazine about it:
Reports that Heath Ledger fathered a love child have been blown out of proportion, the late actor’s uncle Mike told Usmagazine.com in a telephone interview Wednesday.
How did the rumors start?
All my brother Haydn said was that anything is possible, and from there, it just went absolutely berserk. At the end of the day, our thoughts are with the little girl in question, and we’re not prepared to make any more comments at all.
So Haydn said something, and it was taken out of context?
Yes. Haydn was asked a question that wasn’t directly related to the Heath issue: ‘If someone was this age, could it be possible?’ and Haydn said ‘Anything is possible,’ and that’s it. His statement was absolutely taken out of context. Absolutely.
So you and Haydn don’t know for a fact if Heath had another child or not?
No. It’s just a rumor! It’s been a rumor for a long while.
Did you and the rest of Heath’s family know about Heath having a girlfriend who was older?
There were rumors. He was a young, good-looking guy, and he attracted lots of women.
Do you know the woman in question?
No, and I’m not going to comment any further. I’m sorry. I really feel for the little girl that’s in the middle of this, and my thoughts are with her and her alone. The little girl is the most important thing in the whole thing.
Details of Heath Ledger’s will were released over the weekend and nothing in the will showed his ex Michelle or daughter Matilda being provided for after his death. Reason being, Heath wrote his will in 2003 (before dating Michelle Williams) leaving everything he owned to his parents and sister. Heath’s father Kim Ledger released a statement regarding Heath’s will:
“Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family,” Heath’s father Kim Ledger says in a statement. “They will be taken care of and that’s how Heath would want it to be.”
I believe Heath’s family will do what’s right and make sure Michelle and Matilda are taken care of. Heath loved Michelle and Matilda too much to leave them with nothing after he passed.
