Police officers moved quickly to take down a man who allegedly threatened to kill pop star and actress Hilary Duff during her appearance on a Canadian TV show.
Duff was being interviewed Tuesday by MuchMusic host Leah Miller on Live @ Much when a man in the crowd outside the studio started shouting at the 19-year-old star. According to an eyewitness, the unidentified man vowed to kill Duff, prompting several police officers to tackle him.
"The cops slammed his face into the pavement," said someone who saw the incident. "He was bleeding."

The commotion happened just metres from an outdoor platform where Duff later stood to greet fans who surged forward for autographs and pictures.
Last November, police in Manhattan Beach, California, arrested 18-year-old Maksim Miskovsky for stalking and threatening to kill Duff. A month earlier, Duff and her then-boyfriend Joel Madden filed for restraining orders against Myakovsky and his 50-year-old roommate David Joseph Klein.
Myakovsky pleaded no contest to the charges in January and was sentenced to 117 days in jail and five years probation.

On her breakup with Joel Madden:
"Joel was my boyfriend for two years and I loved himâ"he was a very important part of my life. All that stuff about the age difference between us being the reason we broke up is just not true; I never felt the age difference.
Breaking up was just something that I felt needed to happen between us. People thought we were an unlikely couple, but we really weren't that different. After two months, I didn't even see his tattoos anymore, because that's not who he is.
He used to say, âI don't think there are too many people out there who really get you, but I do.' And he did. I could be stupid, silly, funny, or crazy, and he got it.
He gave me a sense of confidence and independence I didn't have before. We e-mail all the time now and are at a really good place."
On getting slim:
"I have the same insecurities about my body that every girl has and I made a conscious choice to get in shape. I've always been a junk food eater, but I started paying more attention to what I put in my body and cut out foods like pizza, chicken fingers, and French fries.
If I knew I'd want dessert one night, I wouldn't have bread that day. If I wanted to eat bread, I wouldn't have dessert. Seeing how well it worked motivated me to keep going, but I hit a period when I got too skinny. I wasn't too obsessed with it, but I did learn that there have to be days when you just don't think about it.'"

Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff

Do you think Toothy Duff and Tipsy Lohan really hugged it out? What made Aaron Carter so special that they would feud over him in the first place? He's a complete Jack-hole!
They famously feuded over singer Aaron Carter, 19, (who dated them both), but Lindsay Lohan, 20, and Hilary Duff, 19, put it all behind them at Hollywood club Les Deux on March 30.
Lohan hugged Duff and partied by her side. But as the girls were getting reacquainted last weekend, they found someone else to scorn.
Sources say, "They were making fun of Paris!"
Lohan even danced on a couch spoofing Hilton when one of her tunes played!
This is a pic that was poorly photo-shopped by me. :) They're looking gorgeous in their Easter dresses!

Before Joel Madden dumped Hilary Duff over her abstinence until marriage deal, and before he began bumping pelvises with Nicole Richie, he was livin' "like a rockstar."
Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden recalls,
"Back when we were on our first tour,
you'd always meet some hot girl at the show and would have six hours to kill, so you end up going to her house. But you don't know she has a boyfriend. You end up hiding in the closet when he comes home. There were plenty of those (incidents).
"There was never a time when I actually got chased down by a boyfriend⦠I just had to wait until the girl got him out. I would be sitting in the closet, sweating bullets for, like, an hour."
I'm sure he was sweatin' bullets, Joel's barely over 5 feet tall. He also says Nicole's bones keep him satisfied and he's no longer hunting around for a girl to get him off whenever he feels like it.
He explains,
"Sometimes a girl will come on the bus and she'll be like, âOh, this is not what I was looking for. I was kind of hoping for drunken nudity and stuff.' We disappoint a lot of people."
Everything's tame now? Slut, please! Every guy in a band claims he's monogamous. John Mayer brought Jessica along on tour at the request of Papa Joe to prove it. Until Madden takes Bones with him, he's cheating like Tommy Lee.

Hilary Duff is so hood!!!
The Disney-bred pop star mined her breakup with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden and his subsequent involvement with Nicole Richie for material on her new album, due out April 3.
The album's title is Dignity, and, really, what could be more dignified than publicly calling out the anorexic ex-junkie who stole your boyfriend? "Where's your dignity? I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills," run lyrics on the title track. "Can't buy respect but you can pick up that bill."
That was deep! Yep, that will hurt Bones Richie fo shizzle!
A second verse drives the point home: "Always with Mr. Right, but then you have a fight / Run into your friend's ex, he's happy to be your next / Tomorrow's paper's coming out so kiss him fast, watch the cameras flash."
In another song, "Gypsy Woman," Duff upbraids her former flame for succumbing to a temptress. "She lets you think that you found her first / That's how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse. / Talks with a grin 'cause she's got no shame / Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name." (Richie's father is Lionel Still Famous in Libya Richie.)
The album's first song, "Stranger," is addressed to the same party, but in a more melancholy tone. "You treat me like a queen when we go out / Wanna show everyone what our love's about / All wrapped up in me whenever there's a crowd / But when no one's around there's no kindness in your eyes," she laments. She adds, "When I think of all the time we wasted, I could cry."
Asked whether the songs on Dignity were written specifically about the love triangle, Duff's spokeswoman replied, "Some are, yes. But she has gone through a lot, including a very frightening pair of Russian stalkers." That would be the subject of "Dreamer": "Don't you have better things to do with your life / Than hang around and stare at me and complicate mine?"
