Beyonce: Oprah Will Be Blue Ivy's Godmother?

Little Blue Ivy Carter already has a lot going for her, but it seems her mega-famous mom and dad plan to stack the deck in her favor even more by adding one more multi-millionaire icon to her life.

Radar Online reports that Beyonce and Jay-Z have decided who they'd like to serve as the "spiritual guardian" for their daughter and it's not Solange or Kelly Rowland, as many had guessed. Instead, it's the Queen of all Media - Oprah Winfrey. According to the report, it won't become official until a ceremony this Christmas, but Oprah has already accepted the role.

And no, Stedman won't be joining her as the baby's godfather. That title will go to Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, a longtime friend of Jay's. God, I hope these rumors are true, if only for the possibility of Oprah participating in a ceremony with a dude named Ty Ty.

Jessica Alba Advises Beyonce and Jay-Z to Sell Photos of Blue Ivy Carter

Even though Beyonce and Jay-Z are super-private and have no need to pimp their baby out for more money, Jessica Alba thinks they should sell the first photos of Blue Ivy Carter before somebody else cashes in.

Jessica Alba and Honor

Jessica sold the first photos of her daughter Honor to OK! magazine for $1.5 million, and doesn’t regret the decision at all. She says that her and husband Cash Warren had a great experience with their photographer, and they didn’t have to worry about the paparazzi doing scary and dangerous things to get the first look at their newborn.

“For our family, we just wanted to control the experience,” she told CNN, adding that, “If there’s a price tag on your child--which is so bizarre--people will go to crazy lengths. We wanted to avoid the hysteria.”

Hate to say it, but Jessica does have a point! Not that Bey and Jay-Z will take her up on that advice. They have enough wealth and clout to hide this child from the world until she turns eighteen. May not be healthy, but I have no doubt that they could pull it off.

Beyonce Delivery Investigated By New York Health Department

Now that little Blue Ivy Carter has entered the world, we'll never know for certain if Beyonce was really pregnant or used a surrogate, as so many have claimed. But the controversy continues, with baby Blue continuing to score headlines as the first ever 4 day-old diva.

The New York State Health Department is investigating claims about the lavish arrangements made by Bey and Jay-Z to secure a posh, private delivery. The Carters reportedly paid $1.4 million to have the hospital convert 6-8 rooms into a one room private suite, complete with lush accents like mahogany walls. That's a bit much, but what's worse is the report that new parents were denied access to the maternity ward to see their children for the entirety of Beyonce's stay.

Understandably, King Jay and Queen Bey have ruffled some feathers with their ridiculous demands, and an investigation is being conducted to find out if any laws were violated in the hospital's attempt to accomodate hip-hop royalty. From the sound of it, however, nothing will come of the probe. "One [of the complaints] from someone who read about it in the media and the other was anonymous. So we have no person we can interview or talk to about it," said an official.

Likely just a case of sheer haterism. Better get used to it, Blue. You're half a week old and people are already jealous.

Beyonce Gave Birth to Blue Ivy "Naturally," Did Not Have a C-Section

Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy the "natural" way, the singer and husband Jay-Z insist. In a joint statement, Beyonce and Jay-Z said that their Blue Ivy "was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives."

The couple added: "Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."

We've never heard this fiercely private couple make such mushy statements before! It's pretty refreshing.

Beyonce Had a Miscarriage Before Giving Birth to Blue Ivy!!

Thanks to some revealing Jay-Z lyrics we've found out that Beyonce had a miscarriage. In Jay-Z's new song "Glory," which was released today, he raps: "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic."

The song even includes an audio sample of Blue Ivy crying just moments after she entered the world. Pharrell produced the song.

Proud papa Jay says: "The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real / Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you."

Now that's a beautiful tribute. Blue Ivy is one lucky baby girl. Congrats again!

Beyonce Gives Birth to Blue Ivy Carter!!

Beyonce and Jay-Z are proud parents of a baby girl! Beyonce checked into Lenox Hill Hospital on the upper East Side on Friday night. She checked in under the name of  "Ingrid Jackson," and the power couple rented out the entire 4th floor for $1.3 million.

On Saturday night, people were seen bringing food and a dozen bottles of red wine onto the heavily guarded hospital wing. After 11 p.m., even doctors and nurses were barred from entering the fourth floor. Tape was placed over security cameras and employees were forced to turn in cell phones when they arrived for their shifts, according to the NY Daily News.

Ivy Blue Carter entered the world via C-section on Saturday. Russell Simmons and Rihanna sent their congrats on Twitter.

Well Blue is this baby's middle name. Ivy isn't so bad, unless she goes by "Ivy Blue," which sounds like a medical condition or something I should order at the bar, which is where I just left to update this sh!t!

Congrats!

Update: The baby's name is Blue Ivy!!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: Maroon 5, Jay-Z and Kanye West Rock the Runway

Time for my favorite post of the year. The annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show aired on CBS Tuesday night and, as expected, it featured world famous models Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel. In their underwear. On TV. I'm told several famous bands and rappers also performed. I watched the show...but I really didn't notice the music. It's a symptom of a common disease called being a heterosexual dude.

Adam Levine and Anne Vyalitsyna kissing Photo

Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and - perhaps most memorably -  Maroon 5 all provided music for the legendary T & A (and fashion) show. I say that Maroon 5 stood out the most, because lead singer Adam Levine might be the first man to ever make physical contact with one of the models, without being promptly pepper-sprayed like a UC Davis protester. The reason he got away with it, of course, is that Adam laid a kiss on his longtime girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsina. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that he got some that night.

Anyway, the rest of the performers mostly kept their hands to themselves, which is good because you really don't wanna piss off a pregnant Beyonce. Anyway, enough with the words. Check out the photo gallery below for highlights of the 2011 hotness, and jump in to see video clips from the show.

Jay-Z: Occupy All Streets T-Shirts Inspires Sculptor Daniel Edwards

Jay-Z upset many people when his clothing label, Rocawear, began selling Occupy All Streets T-shirts online. The company said that it would not be donating any money from sales to the Occupy Wall Street movement. The shirts were removed from the website hours later, but what some people don't know is that just a few days after the backlash, the Occupy All Streets tees reappeared for sale on Rocawear.

Sculptor Daniel Edwards has used this scandal as another opportunity to create some hideous statue.

Beyonce's husband, who made $63 million last year, is seen wearing chains with a dollar sign, and he has Mr. Burns of The Simpsons, Scrooge from Disney's Christmas Carol, and Richie Rich resting on top of his head. What I love most about the sculpture is that Jay-Z has breasts.

Jay-Z Pulls 'Occupy All Streets' Shirts From Website After Massive Outcry

Jay-Z was trying to capitalize on an anti-corporate greed movement by creating merchandise to increase revenue at his own corporation, his Rocawear clothing line. Rocawear posted photos of its "Occupy All Streets" t-shirts and told fans to get their very own "dope shirt" in support of the movement even though the company will be donating NONE of the money from sales to the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Jay-Z, Occupy All Streets

Occupiers across the country were not impressed. Occupy Wall Street encouraged fans to go to Rocawear to let the company know what it thinks of their T-shirts and hours later, the shirts were gone!

A vocal protestor online named Grim put it best, saying:

"Jay-Z, as talented as he is, has the political sensibility of a hood rat and is a scrotum. To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet."

BAM!

Jay-Z Selling 'Occupy All Streets' Merchandise, Giving NO Money to Occupy Wall Street!

People are upset that Jay-Z will be selling Occupy All Streets t-shirts on his Rocawear website but he will not be giving any of the profits to the Occupy Wall Street movement. A Rocawear spokesperson told Business Insider that the company has not made an "official commitment" to support the movement financially.

The Huffington Post reports: Jay-Z isn't the first to try and use the Occupy movement to make some money. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has received a rash of applications from merchants, lawyers and others to trademark phrases like "Occupy" and "We Are The 99 Percent."

MTV has aired a True Life: I'm Occupying Wall Street episode this month and Michael Moore and Alec Baldwin are both rumored to be producing documentaries, which will of course make them each some hefty profits.

Jay-Z is an a*shole, plain and simple. He grew up poor and all he cares about is making more money for himself. He's smart enough to know that his shirts will sell and haters will hate, but does he have any other interests besides making more money for himself?! If so, he should prove it.
