This woman knows how to write a hit, and Katy "sang" her new single, "Wide Awake" at the Billboard Awards yesterday. Like pretty much all of Katy's songs, "Wide Awake" is catchy. Unlike Katy's signature songs, this track is pretty sad and includes the following lyrics: "I'm wide awake. I was in the dark, I was falling hard with an open heart. How did I read the stars so wrong. I was dreaming for so long. I wish I knew then what I know now. I wouldn't dive in, I wouldn't bow down... Need nothing to complete myself. I am born again, out of the lion's den. I don't have to pretend. The story's over now, the end." Katy got hitched while caught up in the honeymoon phase but it sounds like she's learned her lesson!

Russell Brand must be severing all ties with his ex-wife, because he doesn’t even want to be reminded of her on Twitter. The infamous playboy comedian has clicked the “unfollow” button next to Katy Perry’s name. Shocking! But not really.

Katy did the same for him right after they broke things off, but Russell waited until now to finally cut the virtual ties. Obviously, Katy has moved on with her new boy toy, Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, and we think maybe Russell just doesn’t want to see his old number one happy, especially in the arms of another boo.

But it’s also just a good thing to unfollow someone when you break up with them, or they break up with you. Reading their Twitter feed is, like, looking into the depths of their soul. Or, you know, something akin to a murderous, masochistic endeavor that ends with you down a bottle of vodka, two hours of your time (spent reading inane updates), and half your dignity.

Maybe it's her religious upbringing, but Katy Perry still behaves like a repressed teenager. She likes to dye her hair every color of the rainbow and now she's gone Goth! I'm not gonna lie, whenever Katy looks like sh!t, I take pleasure in it. She's gorgeous and completely picture perfect whenever she has makeup on, but I think she loves to experiment so much that she takes it too far sometimes. The dark lipstick and the heavy eye makeup elongate her face and make her eyes look close together. She's lost weight recently and she shouldn't be wearing black and heavy makeup, at least not until she gets a tan on her pasty skin.

Katy Perry is representing Adidas and the company has made a fun new ad with Ms. Perry. Unlike Nicki Minaj's Pepsi commercial, Katy's Adidas commercial actually makes sense. Featuring athletic people in the company's clothes, Katy only has a few cameos throughout, which draws your attention to the brand more than the celebrity spokeswhore, all the while keeping you interested in finding out when Ms. Perry will reappear. Well done.

Katy Perry sang "Part of Me" on American Idol tonight and she actually didn't sound like sh!t. Katy can't sing, but she really doesn't sound so bad whenever she picks songs that allow her to stay in her lane. Katy looked thinner than she ever has before, and it's not like she ever needed to lose any weight. I take it she's on the "divorce diet." Katy's choreography went really well with the song and this chick always comes alive whenever she's on stage. Check her out! I think my favorite part of this breakup anthem is "NOW LOOK AT ME!" We're looking Katy.

Russell Brand has already moved on from his marriage with the help of every 20-something aspiring model in LA, so it stands to reason that Katy Perry is finally playing the field - an she's apparently doing so with Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd.

Katy and Robert were spotted holding hands at Coachella over the weekend, which is no big deal on its own (maybe she just didn't wanna lose track of her eight-foot companion in the crowd), but according to E! News, Katy has also taken to calling Robert her boyfriend.

"She and a bunch of friends were supposed to go see Dr. Dre together, but Katy said she was waiting to watch her boyfriend perform!" said an anonymous source. Big mistake, Katy. No new relationship was worth missing the resurrection of Tupac in hologram form. Plus, the whole time you and Robert were making googly eyes at each other, you could've/should've been backstage getting high as f*ck with Rihanna. That's just the kind of rookie mistake you sometimes get from the newly divorced.

Because Katy Perry hasn't had a boyfriend since she and Russell Brand split it's easy to say that she wants to reconcile with her ex. UsWeekly is claiming that Katy wants to get back with her ex-husband Rusty, nevermind the fact that he already has another girlfriend, Oriela Medelin Amieiro. A close friend of Katy's says: "Katy's been trying to get him back! She's a lost soul right now."

Perry took "a solo trip to India" on April 3 and the trip "stirred up even more old feelings." An insider explains "She'd already been missing Russell."

Katy's friend said that Katy and Russell "are trying to get to the point where they can at least be friends."

Sigh! This entire story is sh!t, y'all. If Katy doesn't have a new guy, naturally she'll think of her last relationship, but she needs a brain transplant if she thinks it would be beneficial to be friends with her sex addict ex. The door to Russell's bedroom is a revolving one and that's what's wrong with former couples being friends: You have to hide who you're dating from your ex. Being friends is not how you move on, but changing your hair helps. Katy's doing a great job with that at least.

Okay, so the concept is a little strange, but the video is definitely worth watching if only for the scene in which Katy strips down to her underwear and cuts all her hair off in a gas station bathroom. It may be the weirdest military recruitment ad ever, but it's possible that Katy intentionally made a video that has nothing to do with her real life situation to avoid comparisons.

She's already denied that the song is about Russell Brand, so this GI Jane version of events might be Katy's way of reminding us that art doesn't always imitate life.

Okay, so this performance confuses me for many reasons. Is it just me, or does Katy Perry have a work schedule that's just as intense as Lady Gaga's? Why is this b!tch performing in London right now?!?! Second, I don't know why Katy doesn't know how to stay in her lane. Covers are supposed to be better versions of original songs so that you can honor the artist who performed the track, not shame them. Katy embarrassed herself when she performed Kanye West and Jay-Z's "Niggas in Paris" in London last night. She basically made it a pop song, which is why it sucks. Perry can't sing and she can't rap either. Thankfully her boobs are still around to save the day. We can't hate her because she's hot.

Katy Perry is in Paris and she's giving everyone a great view from the front and the back. Katy wore some see through skirt that showed off her granny panties, and then she wore a tight mini-dress to show off her breasts and her legs. She's really trying to get herself a new man!

I like Katy's short dress better than her see-through ensemble, but she looks good in almost anything. I don't think she's ever worn pants in public, like, ever. We still don't know how Russell Brand managed to f*ck this up.
