Lee DeWyze and Jonna Walsh: Engaged!

American Idol winner Lee DeWyze has found the woman of his dreams and is ready to make the big commitment. According to Us Weekly, Lee is engaged to girlfriend Jonna Walsh!

The two met in 2010 in October 2010 while shooting the video for his first single "Sweet Serendipity" in October 2010 and plan on tying the knot in the fall of 2012.

Uh oh, you know where this might be heading... Splitsville! Why do so many people think they have to jump into marriage so fast? He's only 25, has his whole life ahead of him, and they've only been dating for a few months. What happened to just sitting back, and enjoying the ride for a little while?

Oh well, whatever floats their boat. Good luck Lee and Jonna!

Scotty McCreery Snubbed by Lee DeWyze?

Traditionally, American Idol winners receive their trophy from the previous season's champion. But on Wednesday's results show season nine winner Lee DeWyze was nowhere to be seen. Does Lee have some beef with new champ Scotty McCreery? Is he the world's biggest hater and can't stand letting someone else have the spotlight? Or was it all just a misunderstanding? Lee and Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe are offering different takes on the snub heard round the world.

Shortly after the show, Lythgoe Tweeted, "I was so upset Lee DeWyze wouldn't present the winners trophy to Scotty. Especially as he's been on the show this season. I guess he was shy." That last sentence is passive-aggressive Brit speak for, "I guess he decided to be a dickhole." DeWyze, however, claims he wasn't even asked to participate in the season finale until the last minute and declined because it, "It was Scotty's moment."

True, McCreery shouldn't have been the focus of the night's events, but 1.) Lee shouldn't act like he was surprised when he got asked to go on stage, considering that's how they've done things every friggin' season, and 2.) It's generally not a good idea to turn down favor requests from the guy who gave you your big break, especially when that guy happens to be a billionaire mega-producer. Don't go burning bridges, Lee. You haven't exactly been setting the world on fire so your win last season. Here's hoping Scotty has better luck...and manners.

Lee DeWyze Sings The Star Spangled Banner, Totally Sucks

Lee DeWyze gave one of the worst renditions of the National Anthem that I have ever heard. Crystal Bowersox would have brought so much soul, emotion and range to this song, but Lee fell short. Like Kris Allen's rendition, Lee showed no range and did absolutely nothing to make the song his own. It's a gawd awful "rendition."

Lee DeWyze Wins American Idol

Some of you are p*ssed and some of you are over joyed that Lee DeWyze has taken home the title of being the 2010 winner of American Idol. Lee didn't look like a threat during the beginning of the season but he stepped up his game over the last couple of weeks.

It was Lee's rendition of 'Hallelujah' last week that made me believe he had a good shot at winning the competition. Being an Ohioan, I would've loved it if Crystal Bowersox won, but she has a promising career ahead of her. She may be one of those that don't win the big prize, but end up doing better in the long run.

On a side note, was this the American Idol finale or a farewell show for Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul? Yes, Simon made American Idol as big as it is, but they shouldn't have focused so much of the finale on him. They had all season to suck him off and say goodbye. Just my opinion of course!

Lee DeWyze 'Hallelujah' Performance Video

Throughout this season of American Idol Crystal Bowersox has looked like a sure thing as the top dog, but Lee DeWyze is bringing his A-game to the table. Each contestant sang two songs last night, one being their own pick, and the other being chosen by a judge.

Lee's personal song choice was 'Simple Man' by Leonard Skynard and he rocked out with his c*ck out. Simon Cowell chose 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen and it's simple to say it was the best performance of the night.

I'm team Lee all the way!

Crystal Bowersox And Lee DeWyze 'Falling Slowly' Duet

Could you imagine these two singing Diana Ross and Lionel Richie's hit 'Endless Love' together? Hell no and thank god they didn't! That's the song Jamie Foxx wanted Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze to do for their duet, and I'm glad they didn't listen.

Crystal and Lee DeWyze did a kick *ss job as a duet, and they could not have done a better job singing 'Falling Slowly' for movie week on American Idol. The judges loved their version and Kara DioGuardi considers it one of her favorite moments of the entire season and said they brought out the best in each other. They killed it!

Lee DeWyze Could Win the Prize

Many people are on Team Bowersox, but I'm also on Team Lee DeWyze. The man is such a soulful little white dude and that rasp reels me in every time. Lee DeWyze also finally began to smile during last night's episode of American Idol after Adam Lambert told him to. It's about time. He may just win it all, or at least end up in the final 2.

Michael Lynche Voted Off of American Idol, Then Spared With 'Judges Save' Vote

Michael Lynche, aka Big Mike, is good, but he doesn't do it for me. Apparently, he doesn't do it for Idol viewers either considering that the buff soul singer was voted off of American Idol last night.

But each season Idol judges are now allowed to save a contestant who has been voted off from being eliminated. After Michael's wife was bawling and the audience was going crazy, the judges decided to "save" Michael Lynche. And rightfully so. The personal trainer and father sounded SO much better than he did the night before. I also think it was good for him to be in the bottom three to deflate his head a little.

But my problemo with Idol is that if they have a "Judges Save" vote, they should also have a "Judges Elimination" vote where they're able to send someone packing and spare a worthy contestant from elimination.

Website "Vote For The Worst" is keeping Tim Urban in the game, and that site is lethal. Crystal Bowersox, Siobhan Magnus and Lee DeWyze are not safe as long as fans continue to vote for the worst Idol contestant. The strategy has been thriving for seasons now. Sanjaya has proven just how successful Vote For the Worst actually is.

Kelly Clarkson Tweets About Crystal Bowersox, Lee DeWyze and Andrew Garcia

Kelly Clarkson has a love-hate relationship with American Idol. Miss Piggy would be nowhere without the show that launched her career, but she distanced herself from Idol management, said she doesn't watch the show, and didn't even thank AI when she picked up her Grammy Awards.

But when Taylor Swift's team pissed on American Idol contestants, Kelly vehemently defended the show. Now she's apparently tuning in this season, and last week the first "Idol" tweeted about her favorites this season. Kelly said:

Mr. Know It All

  • Lee Dewyze has a great voice! Great texture and sexy rasp ....yummy :)
  • I love me some Andrew Garcia!! Great job on Idol tonight man! So sexy and talented!

Kelly also said that she ate so much at Easter that she couldn't move. No comment.

Lee DeWyze: American Idol Finalist Gets Soulful

It took me a while, but I'm finally on Team Lee DeWyze. The American Idol singer has a gorgeously raspy, husky voice that I'm into. He also has Dave Matthews Band and Daughtry written all over him and he should be a great success. He is as commercial as they come these days, so we'll be seeing much more of Lee in the future. Hopefully.
