Madonna paid tribute to Michael Jackson recently during opening night of her Sticky & Sweet tour at London's O2 arena.
Man, back in the day Madonna & Michael were the bomb! Of course, leg warmers & acid wash jeans were cool too. ;) It's cool that Madge took a small bit of time to pay homage to Michael during her show. It must have been painful for her to give few minutes of time to someone else besides herself.
Madonna has legally won the right to adopt 3-year-old Malawian orphan, Mercy James.
Madge was denied her request to adopt Malawi a few months ago, but she stayed up all night this morning waiting for the news.
"My client has been awake all night waiting for this," Madonna's Malawi lawyer, Alan Chinula, spoke to his client as soon as the ruling was made official, at around 2 a.m. her time Friday. "She was ecstatic when I broke the news to her. She said, 'Thank heavens.' "
Madonna issued the following statement today: "I am extremely grateful for the Supreme Court's ruling on my application to adopt Mercy James. I am ecstatic ... My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her."
It should take up to five days before the paperwork is ready. Mercy will be coming to the States via private jet. She's lucky! Congrats.
It was only four years ago that Madonna fell off her ex-husband's horse, cracking three ribs and breaking her hand and collar bone! Fast forward to four years later and the buff diva has fallen off of a horse again!

Her trainer sounds like one sick f*ck. There are shortcuts when you're injured. Tracy says that Madonna fell "on her butt," so she's totally fine. He also said that she'll be training six days a week, two hours a day, "absolutely."

Madonna must have been shocked outta her mind to find out that she can not purchase a baby like another Louis Vuitton bag and her star power has its limits and boundaries. She's gonna need more skin stretching and botox after she calms down. A Malawi judge rejected Madge's request to adopt 3-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James on Friday morning. She even threw an adoption party yesterday!
The judge's reason for rejecting Madge is that the diva must reside in the country for 18 to 24 months. That is the standard requirement for adoptive parents. Mercy could use Madonna's wealth, and is his decision in the best interest of the child?
Madonna, 50, can appeal against the order. She adopted David Banda, 3, in 2006 without meeting the residency requirements, which caused outrage by non-governmental groups that felt she was using her celebrity status to bend the law.
"We support her adoption process," Information Minister Patricia Kaliati said yesterday. "Madonna's been good to us. She's supporting over 25,000 orphans in this country, and she's proved she can take care of David."
Mercy's uncles, Peter Baneti and John Ngalande, signed off on the papers Monday. They were also present at Madonna's pre-adoption party at the luxe Kumbali Lodge Thursday night.
"Mercy is now assured of a good education away from the abject poverty of our village," Baneti told Us yesterday. "Madonna has assured us she will not cut her ties with us."
The residency restriction law is over 50 years old and "archaic."
I hope this doesn't discourage others from trying to adopt children in Africa. Hopefully Malawi is the only country there with these strict requirements.

Sources tell the Daily Mirror that the choreographers of Britney Spears' upcoming tour were asked to create a fantastic routine to be performed by Madonna and Britney.
Could the queen and princess of pop unite on stage for a third time? It seems possible. Several months ago Britney recorded a video for Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour and appeared live in concert at one of her shows.
If the pair reunite sources say the performance will be much different.
