Melissa Rycroft got engaged to Jason Mesnick on the season finale of last season's The Bachelor before he dumped her during the live television broadcast of the After the Final Rose Ceremony special.

Melissa then went on to be the third runner up on Dancing With the Stars and she began dating her friend Tye Strickland.

Fast forward to four months later and Melissa Rycroft is already engaged. This is pretty big news especially considering that Jason and his new girlfriend don't even reside in the same state.

The newly engaged couple celebrated with 20 friends at Cretia's restaurant.

"When they walked in, everybody stood up and clapped," the staffer says, adding that Rycroft looked "beaming happy." The 26-year-old Texas native and Strickland toasted with champagne and stayed until the restaurant closed at 2 a.m.

The engagement comes a week after Rycroft started her new job on ABC's Good Morning America. She will appear on the morning show eight to 10 times this summer.

The dancing competition is always fierce; and with former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Rycroft and smooth hip-shaker Gilles Marini, Shawn had to work hard for the title. But the short and cutesy Olympian gold medalist managed to walk away with her shiny trophy last night. Shawn reportedly won by under 1% of the majority of votes. Shawn is so gifted on the dance floor, her win is well deserved!

Johnson's other winning routine? The mirror-ball trophy dance, which she and Ballas did while confetti rained down on the incredulous pair. So what does Johnson plan on doing with her shiny new trophy?

"I'm going to put my gold medal around it because it was the Olympics that got me here in the first place."

Melissa and her ex-boyfriend Ty have began dating again! She says that the Dallas-based insurance agent is her "rock," hope he gives her one too. Melissa has been dumped many many times and she even asked Jason what's wrong with her when he gave her the axe on TV.

"This is a reward, in a way, for what just happened," Rycroft says, knowing that sore muscles and all, the opportunity was a no-brainer.

Even though doing the waltz made the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader "feel like an elephant in high heels," Rycroft says her objective was simple: "to go and have fun. That's the best I can do."

Melissa received two standing ovations from the DWTS audience - she only had two days to rehearse when the other contestants had four weeks!!!! She says, "I cannot think of a bigger word than overwhelming."

Melissa is a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and a former ballet dancer. I want her, Shawn Johnson and Lil Kim to win. Can they do a three-way this year? Luvs her!
