Simon Cowell would blush whenever he would talk about his ex-fiancee, Mezhgan Hussainy, but according to one of Cowell's close friends, Mezhgan and Simon are done. Simon is a workaholic, and he continued to put his work before his relationship.

Zeta Graff, who has been friends with Cowell since 2004, tells The Mirror: "Mezhgan was lovely but it was all too much for Simon. As soon as he hears the words 'stability' and 'future', I think it all became a bit too much."

Zeta said that "Simon needs a woman who isn't defined by him." Ouch. He says that Mezhgan was "too needy," and that Cowell needs a chick "who has her own career or wealth." That's sh!tty to say considering that Mezhgan has a thriving makeup artist career. She does makeup for people on American Idol for the love of gawd.

Simon announced that he was engaged to Hussainy last year.

Simon Cowell, 52, says that he and fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy have put their wedding plans on hold. Cowell tells the Daily Mirror: "It's quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close." He continued: "I'm vulnerable...I don't know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."

Mezhgan and Simon got engaged in February 2010. Simon gushed in various interviews about his girlfriend, saying: "She's very special...You know when you've found somebody very special."

What the f*ck ever. Everyone is breaking up and Mezhgan should run if she knows what's good for her. She's waiting on a man who has put his career first his entire life. It's pretty sad considering that she could be with someone who wouldn't mind f*ck her like this.

Yeah, but were hot midget strippers there to serve tequila shots and give lap dances as Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" played from speakers underneath the mattress? If not, Simon should consider stepping his game up at some point.

The American Idol judge also buys her "romantic gifts" every single day including joint beauty treatment. “Red roses, French lingerie, Prada bags, you name it. He gives her something new practically every day."

A source added, “Mezhgan’s really enjoying Simon’s world.” Simon, you're making every other dude look like a loser. Stop it.

Simon Cowell was all smiles and jokes during his appearance on the Tonight Show With Chinny Leno. Simon said that he'll be getting married "in the next 10 years." His fiance Mezhgan Hussainy was also watching Simon in the background when Chinny Leno called her to the stage.

Mezhgan shared a seat with Simon as the American Idol judge looked so happy with her. Simon says that he's "torn" about having kids because he believes that he's "a bit too old to have kids." Uh Simon, that's why Mezhgan will be having them! Relax. We'd love to see little Simons around, too.

Simon also said that he loves Crystal Bowersox and that Adam Lambert should have won last year. Jay Leno sucked with his Idol trivia, only naming Jennifer Hudson and Adam Lambert as the more successful "losers" of the show. Um, hello, Chris Frickin' Daughtry is successful, JayJay!

If you haven't heard of her yet, you will. Mezhgan Hussainy, 36, is engaged to none other than Simon Cowell. Mezhgan's family, the Hussainys, were among Afghanistan's elite.

Her father was an IT expert and her family had their own driver, a nanny, a cook and a housekeeper. But things changed 30 years ago when Mezhgan's family was forced to flee war-torn Afghanistan, embarking on a 10-day hike "on foot through the mountains and the Khyper Pass." Mezghan says that she and her family were "so hungry and tired."

Mezhgan Hussainy, her parents and three brothers spent nine months in a refugee camp in Afghanistan before being permitted to move to the States. 

In the States, Mezhganworked as a model and became a professional makeup artist much later. She turned down the offer to do makeup on American Idol during its first season, but accepted the job for season two. Great move! What an amazing success story.

Simon's picky as hell, so I like this chick already. You know she must be a winner.

On lust vs. love: "You confuse lust with love, you know, when you're in your teens and stuff like that. It's a difficult thing to describe other than you know it when you are. You just know when you've found somebody special and I feel very, very happy."

On having kids: "The thing about kids, it's like marriage, you know you have to believe you're in something that you're in for the long term – a hundred percent."

On making it last: "You've got to really, really like somebody because there's a thin line between love and hate. As long as you can retain that chemistry as well then it [is] the most incredible feeling."

It's amazing how Simon has turned into some mushy dude that we don't even recognize. I totally agree with him about everything he said in this interview, especially the "It's a difficult thing to describe" comment. There's just certain things you say when you're in love like the "I can't describe it! I don't know what it is about so and so but..." type of stuff. Whenever someone starts placing an emphasis on how "nice" someone else is and how they "love" someone instead of saying they're "so in love," I think they're a danger and denial zone. Love is a total hijacking of all the senses and nothing makes sense at all, you just have to go with it like Simon is.

I love these two together. Simon is so serious about this chick and it's adorable.

Simon Cowell has gotten all mushy now that he's found a woman who keeps the boners coming. Mezhgan Hussainy, 36, has stolen Simon's heart. After an interview with Piers Morgan on a TV show in England aired, tabloid writers claimed that Simon and Mezhgan are now engaged.

Simon told Piers: "I'm smitten with Mezhgan, I think she's the one. She's very special. You know when you've found somebody very special. I think I need to have little Simons around."

You can't say that you want to have kids without everyone speculating that you also wanna put a ring on it. Mezhgan, who works as a makeup artist on American Idol, was also spotted wearing a $389,400 diamond on her wedding finger. The engagement rumors aren't that far fetched, but yesterday Simon's close friend Max Clifford asked Simon if he's engaged and Simon said: "NO! I'm not engaged."

Simon may want his engagement to remain a private matter for the time being, OR he's just not engaged! It sounds like he's in love though, and his poor ex Terri Seymour was hoping that she'd be the one. Simon and Terri dated for six years and she even starved herself at one point in hopes that he would propose to her. I do not understand these women. Terri should have gotten herself knocked up and secured her retirement. And Simon's talking about having "little Simons around," which is Mezhgan's cue to start taking fertility drugs! Don't wait so long for that ring, hun, that your eggs are all dried up boo.
