Synopsis: No Limits: The Will To Succeed will include insights from the Beijing Games, the pool, and the team, giving readers an up-close view of Phelps's record-breaking performance.

Phelps will also share anecdotes about his family, his coach, his passion for the sport, and lessons learned from unexpected challenges and obstacles. No Limits will be an inspirational memoir not only for fans of great, dramatic moments in sports but also for a wider audience of fans who will take inspiration from a man and his determination to succeed.

Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, has signed Michael up to pen Built to Succeed, which will describe the Olympian's philosophy on training and competition along with his backstory of growing up with a single mom as well as a attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

The book will be released on December 9, 2008.

Michael Phelps also authored a book in 2005 called Beneath the Surface. Selling just 10,000 copies, it was hardly a best-seller, but the golden boy of swimming has just snagged another book deal with a reported $1 million advance.

He's so gonna earn two more goldies, bringing his total to eight, beating Mark Spitz's seven gold medal record in 1972 as the single Olympian to walk away with the most gold at the Olympics. Bring it home, baby! :)

I can't even say 'only two more gold medals to go' because it's not an 'only' situation. It's hard as hell being the most talented, fastest swimmer on the planet, swimming 17 times in eight competitions. Phelps' gold rush continues tonight! Go USA!!!

Swimmer Michael Phelps secured his sixth first-place finish �" and sixth world record �" at the Olympics in Beijing on Friday.

The 23-year-old is now just one win away from tying Mark Spitz's record of seven gold medals at one game.

Phelps' string of victories in Beijing and in Athens four years ago has nabbed him a total of 12 gold medals, more than any other Olympian. He has won every swimming final at this year's game and topped world records each time.

After winning the gold in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 1:54.23 on Friday, Phelps stuffed the medal in his pocket to rush to prepare for the semifinals of the 100 butterfly �" held just a half hour later.

"I switched from my dress sweats to my parka, shoes, threw my cap and goggles on, and then they pushed us on out. No time," he told the Associated Press. "The medal was in my warm-up jacket."
