Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe: New Pictures

Michelle Williams was transformed into looking like Marilyn Monroe for her new film, My Week With Marilyn. We've seen images as Michelle Monroe before, but we have a few new ones. So what do you think?

Michelle Williams Admits 'I Often Dream of Quitting Acting'

Michelle Williams reveals that the paparazzi began stalking her every step after Heath Ledger passed away and she thought of quitting acting. Williams says that quitting would make her sad, but she desperately wants her space and privacy.

Michelle Williams close up

"I often dream of quitting acting. Walking away and becoming a laundress or a sous chef or maybe writing other people’s love letters for a living. Clearly, I don’t like to be in charge."

The Oscar nominated actress sounds a bit pessimistic, or maybe she's just a realist, as she continues: "When you have options, anything is bearable. It’s when a situation is inescapable that it becomes hell. It seems to me that as soon as you get good at something, it is a sure sign that it is about to walk out of your life because it ceases to hold your mind and creative energy hostage.”

On the paparazzi: If it gets to the point where I can’t situate my life in a way that they stay away more, then I’ll drop a match on the thing. I’ll be sad. I like to act. It’s saved my life over and over again. It’s given me a sense of self-esteem, self-worth. I have this thing that I’m in love with–acting–and now it has this baggage.

I respect Michelle's realness and honesty. I think she's found a way to be an actress while still living a very private life. In other words, please don't quit Michelle!

Michelle Williams Covers Vogue in Marilyn Monroe Costume

Because I like Michelle Williams, I think she makes a smokin' hawt Marilyn Monroe. Is that a biased assessment? Of course it is, and I stand by it. Michelle plays Monroe in the upcoming film My Week With Marilyn. She's pimping out the project, with Vogue magazine's help, and she opens up about various topics like turning 30, playing the icon herself, sex appeal, and Heath Ledger.

Michelle Williams Vogue cover

Turning 30: I feel like something has changed for me, but it’s a new change, so it’s going to be hard for me to describe...I don’t feel as shy or nervous or self-conscious. I have more confidence that I can handle what life brings me... I feel giddy about it because it’s a complete transformation. It’s like I’ve found my voice.

Playing Marilyn: As soon as I finished the script, I knew that I wanted to do it, and then I spent six months trying to talk myself out of it.

Sex appeal: Any messages that I got as a child about what it is to have a woman’s body or to be sexual were all negative—that people wouldn’t take you seriously or that they would take advantage of you… The expectation to be beautiful always makes me feel ugly because I feel like I can’t live up to it.

On feeling hot: I remember  being all suited up as Marilyn and walking from my dressing room onto the soundstage practicing my wiggle. There were three or four men gathered around a truck, and I remember seeing that they were watching me come and feeling that they were watching me go—and for the very first time I glimpsed some idea of the pleasure I could take in that kind of attention... I thought, Oh, maybe Marilyn felt that when she walked down the beach.

On Heath‘s death: It’s changed how I see the world and how I interact on a daily basis. It’s changed the parent I am. It’s changed the friend I am. It’s changed the kind of work that I really want to do. It’s become the lens through which I see life—that it’s all impermanent. For a really long time, I couldn’t stop touching people’s faces. I was like, ‘Look at you! You move! You’re here!’ It all just seemed so fleeting, and I wanted to hold on to it.”

Michelle Williams Plays Marilyn Monroe in "My Week With Marilyn" Movie

Michelle Williams is playing the iconic Marilyn Monroe in an upcoming movie called "My Week With Marilyn." The talented actress' new project is already being labeled "Oscar-bait."

Michelle received an Academy Award nomination for last year's "Blue Valentine."

She looks gorgeous as Marilyn Monroe. I just love the platinum blonde hair on her in some of these photos.

The story, based on the memoir by Colin Clark, tells the story of a young film assistant on the set of "The Prince and the Showgirl,"... Clark takes Monroe out for a week of incognito fun.

My Week With Marilyn will premiere at the New York Film Festival. The project has yet to be given an official release date. Marilyn's legacy lives on! Michelle does a much better job than Anna Nicole or Lindsay Lohan ever could. Williams recreates her look with class.

Michelle Williams: Heath's Death "Left A Hole In Our Life"

I thought that after the interview Michelle Williams did with Nightline, which she said was 'devastating,' would shy her away from talking about Heath Ledger again. Apparently I was wrong. Michelle opened up about life without Heath in the new issue of Marie Claire. She says that the loss of him has left she and daughter Matilda with a "hole in our life." Marie Claire must have nabbed this before the Nightline interview aired! Kidding.

Michelle Williams In Marie Claire

"Very obviously, for me and for her, there's a hole in our life. Of course the natural inclination is to want to fill it and make it disappear, but what I've come to recently is that it's impossible. Nothing will fit in that hole because what we want back we can't get, which is this one person. I'm not going to rush anything and scamper around like a mad person and make myself crazy. I'm trying to be respectful of the absence. I'm not trying to fill it up. It is what it is."

Michelle hasn't sworn off men, but she's not really sure what she's looking for and if she's the marrying kind.

"The idea that you can get everything you want in one person is destructive, and maybe when you accept that the number is closer to 50 or 60 or 70 percent, that's when you can start to make some progress in choosing the right person. I don't want to make a mistake that big, and that saddens me, because it's harder to let yourself go. I can inflict any kind of injury on myself, but with my daughter, that's not an option."

If anyone deserves a good man, it's Michelle. Just listening to her talk about the loss of Heath and moving on with life breaks my heart. She'll find love again, but she has to open herself up to it.

Alright, that's enough sappy crap out of me.

Ryan Gosling Says Sex Scene With Michelle Williams 'Felt Real'

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams can't stop talking about their infamous sex scene in Blue Valentine and the movie hasn't even come out yet. The scene almost earned the film an NC-17 rating so I guess it's understandable that these two would be so keen to clear the air about their arsty celeb porn. It's lots of free publicity for a mostly un-advertised little indie film, but if they're not careful, the only people buying tickets will be wearing trench coats with pockets full of Vaseline.

"The sex felt real," Ryan said in a recent interview. "It wasn't sexy or a 'sex scene' and that's why we got into trouble." Usually actors dismiss sex scenes as just part of their job and go on about how unsexy it is to pretend you''re banging while some teamster is standing 10 feet away going to town on a jelly doughnut. Maybe this kind of talk is why everyone thought Ryan and Michelle were dating in real life. Well, this and the fact that Ryan says it was hard to stop pretending he was married to Michelle. "You had to remind yourself you were making a film," Ryan says. "Michelle and I found it hard to take off our wedding bands after it was over."

Eff that noise. If I were in his shoes, that ring would come off the second we finished shooting. I'm not trying to get haunted by the ghost of Heath Ledger. I don't wanna get woken up by someone in full Joker makeup unless I paid good money for it, ya know?

Michelle Williams: The Nightline Interview Was 'Devastating'

Michelle Williams is a pretty private person, so the people at 'Nightline' have to be patting each other on the back for getting her to open up so much about her life and the death of Heath Ledger. They can follow that pat on the back with a slap in the face from Michelle because she's ticked with the amount of editing they did to sell the story.

"It was a three-hour interview that was edited in such a way that was devastating to me. I am still such the-good-girl. I want everybody to like me ... So that desire in the moment overrode that 'me' that is on top of myself, that 'me' that is on top of a situation."

In the clip, Nightline host Cynthia McFadden asks Michelle about how she dealt with Heath Ledger's untimely death back in 2008.

"In a strange way, I miss that year, because all those possibilities that existed are gone," Williams tells McFadden in the interview. "It didn't seem unlikely to me that he could walk through a door or he could appear from behind a bush. It was a year of magical thinking."

"And in a way, I'm sad to be moving further and further away from that."

Regarding the interview, Michelle says, "They used those quotes and the way they edited the piece to sell the interview, and it appeared as if I were breaking some kind of silence and sitting down with the express purpose to discuss something that is very private to me. It all becomes rather tricky because I don't want to say something without resonance but then I don't want to go too far. Just recently I felt as if I did cross a line about all this."

Great job Nightline, Michelle will probably never speak publicly about his death again after your f-up. She has every right to be upset if she's going to finally speak about certain things in her life and they crap on it for their own ratings.

Michelle Williams: "Proud" of Blue Valentine Oral Sex Scene

Ya gotta love Oscar season for giving us some of the best movies toward the end of the year. Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling star in Blue Valentine, a love story that spans seven years. The movie originally obtained an NC-17 rating, but has since been downgraded to R after protests.

Blue Valentine picture

The movie features Michelle Williams giving Ryan a blow job. Michelle was asked if she wanted to have the scene removed. She refused.

Michelle said, "I thought, 'I've never seen that before in a movie and I'm proud to be the first. Good on us for making that happen. As the woman in the situation that was in question, I found absolutely nothing scandalous, tawdry or disgusting about it."

Well, I'll be the judge of whether Michelle's oral sex game is disgusting or not! This movie is a must see for me. I love watching Oscar nominated films. We really haven't seen female actors giving head to their male partners on the big screen. Blue Valentine has me mad curious about how much audiences will see and how bad @ss Michelle is as an actress, if she's able to convincingly pull it off.

... And this is why whores should not pursue careers in acting. It would be tempting not to suggest "practicing" lines in private with your co-star. Which may have been what led to people like Natalie Portman hooking up with Benjamin Millepied. Filming a sex scene, or an oral sex scene, with a co-star that you find attractive is a slippery slope. Oooooh. I think I just made an accidental blow job pun.

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams Are Clearly Sexin'

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams attended a screening of their new movie, Blue Valentine, last night, and is it just me or do they have the unmistakable look of two people who banged in the limo on their way to the theater?

Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams

Ryan and Michelle have been cagey about rumors that they're dating, but if they wanna keep their relationship a secret, maybe Ryan should stop having public staring contests with Michelle's breasts. I can understand why Ryan might be reluctant to enter into a formal relationship with Michelle. Breaking up with her has been known to lead to clown makeup and overdosing with Olsen twins (C'mon, it's not still too soon for Heath Ledger jokes, is it? Why so serious?). Regardless of what they're calling it, though, these two are obviously rubbing their furry places together.

Granted, I tend to think that every male/female friendship eventually leads to boning, and I'm especially biased here, because I like these two and think they'd make a hell of a couple. Even so, I think these pics speak for themselves. I might look for f*ckships where they don't actually exist, but I know a dude whose pants are getting tighter when I see one, and guys only get that look in Ryan's eyes from one of two things: endless fried shrimp night at Old Country Buffet, or a set of boobies that they're totally gonna get to motorboat later.

Michelle Williams: Falling In Love Is More Complicated Now

Michelle Williams is in the newest issue of Vogue speaking out for the first time on life without Heath.

michelle4

Michelle on getting through the past year after Heath Ledger passed away:

Often, what she did was "cry, nap, sit and stare, try to figure out what to make her for dinner, talk to friends on the phone." She says, "I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter. I didn't know if I could keep it all together."

Falling in love again after Heath:

The timing was impossible. I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated."

Explaining to Matilda why they get so much attention:

"It's because people really loved your daddy that they want to take your picture, to know you're all right" is what she tells Matilda. "My reaction to it is going to be her reaction to it."

I dig Michelle because she isn't a drunk, whore, or drug addict like most Hollywood actors. She's truly grounded and tries to keep Matilda's life as normal as possible too. What is there not to like about Michelle Williams?
