Now this is a classy, very smart, successful young lady. Carrie Underwood graces the cover of the March 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine and she talks about balancing her career and her love life.

Carrie said, “I didn’t want to be one of those people who has an amazing career but ends up alone and unhappy. I want to be happy. I want it all.”

Many women who are literally geniuses are completely retarded when it comes to men and relationships and they just don't get it. They work so hard on their careers, then before they know it they're pushing 40, hunting for sperm like Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's trying to find her dream guido.

Getting married and having kids is a very personal and complicated choice for a lot of women. But too many females wait so long for a ring, sometimes they realize that they've waited too long and they just can't get preggers anymore. Carrie, on the other hand, got the man first and the babies are coming down the road. Plus her career is hot! She knows exactly what she's doing and I commend her for being so in touch with what's really important to her.

It remained uncertain if we'd ever see Carrie Underwood and fiance Mike Fisher hit the red carpet together. Until last night! Carrie and her favorite hockey player appeared at the annual Sens' Soiree fundraiser in Gatineau, Quebec.

Carrie and Mike got engaged days before Christmas and they plan to wed next summer.

She said she isn't sure who she wants to design her dress, but will probably go with "someone I’ve worked with before that I know I can work well with." She wants something "pretty traditional, maybe with flowers on it -- not like real flowers!"

Carrie also said that Mike is helping her to plan the wedding and that she needs his help. They're adorable! I didn't think Mike was cute, but he looks great in the picture above. Some people just aren't always photogenic, as may be the case with Mikey. It's so good to see them together! Finally.

Carrie Underwood is a private person, but she wanted to share some good news with her fans via her website.

After news that Carrie and Mike Fisher got engaged was plastered everywhere a little over a week ago, Carrie posted the following message on her fan site: "I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year...a fiance! Woo hoo!... We all couldn't be happier!!!"

Carrie is going to be such a gorgeous bride. I can't wait for the wedding. Congrats to Carrie and Mikey!

This is not a total surprise. Hockey player Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood were said to be pretty damn serious. After dating for a year, Mike proposed to Carrie on Sunday.

Speculation began when Carrie's family friend congratulated Carrie on Mike's Twitter page.

Mike was asked about his proposal via the Ottawa Sun newspaper yesterday. Mike said, "It's true. We're both obviously excited and very happy."

I don't find Mike Fisher attractive, but Carrie does. I truly believe it's men like Jay-Z and Mike Fisher that women like Beyonce and Carrie go absolutely crazy for. I've been batshit over a few guys who were hard on the eyes myself. When attraction has nothing to do with looks, and that fugly person is stunning in your eyes, it's the real deal.

Carrie Underwood has been dating hockey player Mike Fisher for a year but she has no plans to move in with him.

Last week OK! magazine claimed that Carrie, 26, was moving in with Mike because she said that she had cleared out space in Mike's closet and stocked his kitchen with her favorites. They thought she was moving in because of that?!

Underwood writes: "I read something recently that a certain someone and I were moving in together. This is beyond not true...just another example of people making stuff up out of thin air!"

She goes on to say that "neither one of us would ever do that. I would never live with my boyfriend...not my style."

In the 'thank you' section of Carrie's new album, Play On, she gets pretty mushy about her Mikey, saying that he's the "most amazing addition" to her life and that she loves him "so much" and she thanks God for him "every day."

That's so adorable.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher met through friends at a concert in Toronto about a year ago. The Canadian hockey star had a radio interview and revealed that dating Carrie has "been good!"

Mike says that when he tries to sing to the American Idol winner, "she just laughs."

He's already heard Carrie's new album Play On (out Nov. 3) and says that his favorite song from the new disc is "Temporary Home" cause he likes it "when she sings a good rock song."

Mike is proud of his successful girlfriend and says that Carrie gets less days off from work than he does. "She's always going. She's talented and she's getting rewarded for it. That's good to see." I couldn't agree more.
