Nick Lachey appeared on Live! With Kelly this morning where he announced that his wife Vanessa Lachey will have a baby late summer or early fall. Nick explained that Vanessa found out in January: "She went to the store, got a pregnancy test, and it came back positive. So we are having a baby!" Awwww.

Nick has wanted to have kids since he first appeared on The Newlyweds with his soon to be mother and ex-wife, Jessica Simpson.

"I've had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to. The fact that it's actually here, it's overwhelming." Awwww again!

Nick said that he and Vanessa "definitely want to know" the sex of their baby. Nick said that if the doctor knows and he doesn't, that just sucks. "It's like watching a sports game on TiVo." Awwww!

Vanessa had said that she would love to have kids and she still wants to work. "I definitely don't want it to slow me down. I'm always going to be, 'Go, go, go.' And I'm going to be pregnant, fat and happy through it all."

The cutesy little newlyweds known as Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minillo are ready to add a baby into the mix. Nick is 37 and knows he's getting up there in age. With his brother Drew being two kids up on him, Nick says, "I've got zero, so the pressure is on me!"

Nick recently told E! news he's doing everything he can to get Vanessa knocked up soon. He's ready for kids, in fact, Nick says adding an addition to the family would "make me very happy."

"Family is very important. It's important to us, and I'm sure that will be around the corner."

If's Vanessa's eggs and Nick's sperm are in tip-top shape, she should be knocked up in no time and expecting her first baby around April or May of next year.

Well then, I guess I should never say anything about Jessica Simpson again as long as I live. Nah, I'll just try to hold off until the next time she says something stupid. Well, it took a few years, but Nick Lachey has finally gotten over his divorce from the sexual napalm known as Jessica Simpson. It probably helps that his new chick is roughly 50,000 times hotter, and Jessica has now slept with half the losers in Hollywood.

Nick popped the question to longtime girlfriend and aspiring D-lister Vanessa Minnillo yesterday and unlike with Jessica, he probably didn't have to tell her how to spell "fiancee." Nick announced the news Thursday afternoon on his Twitter feed writing, "Hey all. If anyone's heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the love." Fortunately, the three remaining 98 Degrees fans who follow Nick on Twitter shared the news with the rest of the world.

Nick and Vanessa have been dating since 2006, but they split for a while last year. Vanessa has hinted in recent interviews that she's waiting for Nick to propose. So, basically, it sounds like if Nick didn't put a ring on it, she'd dump his @ss again. In fairness he's been very busy doing whatever the hell Nick Lachey does these days.

Anyway, congrats to the happy couple. Hopefully they have better luck than Jessica and John Mayer...or Jessica and Tony Romo, or...you get the idea.

In an interview with Good Day New York, Nick Lachey talked about his new baseball team, the Tacoma Rainiers, but when the topic turned to he and girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo's sex photos, his camera went off air.

"I was in Mexico with my girlfriend of a year, celebrating our anniversary on a private vacation. It's not like I was caught with a Mexican hooker. We've all gone out and had a few too many and done something stupid. We've all made mistakes."
