LA.Direct Magazine's Hollywood Party

la-direct-party.jpg

LA.Direct magazine threw an exclusive invite only event last Friday in Hollywood in support of Christian Audigier (designer Ed Hardy). Guests scheduled to attend included Adrian Grenier, Tara Reid, Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz, Wilder Valderrama, Bill Maher, Brody Jenner, Cisco Adler, Ana Ortiz and more.

It was mostly fun and laughs on the red carpet, but some noteworthy conversations included one from Da Brat.
She says she's mostly in Chicago and Philly so she's happy to be out in L.A. She's currently working on a new album, and her own reality show.

I also chatted with director Paul Coy Allen who directed Timbaland's "Give it to Me" on Shock Value, amongst his other various projects, (this photo's from a separate event).
Well... guess whose video Paul says he's been working on right now? Think about it. I'll give some hints: This singer is an attention whore and I said her first "official video" must be a spoof!!

.... Yep, Paul Coy Allen said he directed Heidi Montag's new video! He smiled from ear to ear as he said, "Heidi is hot! She's very very hot and the video is hot!" Hmmm... what should we take away from this? I think he'll come up with something better than a bikini shoot, I'm thinkin' lingerie this time around. Heidi and Spencer had fun fooling everyone. I can't wait for this video to come out!!! Team Heidi. :)

While former Playboy Playmate and Hugh Hefner's ex, Christi Shake was in the house (photo from another event).Christi said she loved the Playboy mansion because "You can dress like a hooker everyday and it's ok!" Who needs a Playboy mansion to do that? Don't we all.

Shar Jackson also came out. She chatted it up with half the members of the press on the red carpet then just walked past everyone else. Did someone annoy her by asking about K-Fed? Who knows. Anyway, she had her hair down, a big jacket, fierce hooker boots and she was looking hot. Sorry no pictures of Shar. :( My friend was stuck in 'OMG mode' while she should have taken a picture. Me and Kevin Federline's ex had a very deep, intimate conversation, haha. It went like this:

Me: Shar, you lookin' good, gurl!

Shar: Oh! Thank you so much! How you doin' tonight?

Me: I'm doing good. How you doin'?

Shar: I'm doing great! Thank you!

Then Shar walks away towards her girlfriends and the guy who played Brandy's boyfriend on Moesha. Now that was an epic conversation. :-p Honestly, Shar comes across as a kind, genuine person. There was no fakery about her when she spoke with anyone. She was very sweet and she looked great.

Thanks LA.Direct for the invite! LA.Direct really throws the best parties, I'll try to attend more of 'em so I can give you the scoop. :)

F*CK The New England Patriots!!!!

This Sunday January 20 at noon Pacific, 3 p.m. Eastern, I'm hoping against reality that the San Diego Chargers will kick some Tom Brady booty! The Patriots are a monopoly, they own the NFL. How a top 10 team got a 7th place spot for a draft pick is wrong. The Patriots chose former Oakland Raiders' star, Randy Moss. Moss + Brady = terrorism on the field. They must be dethroned. Dammit. Bolts, show 'em how it's done. I'm hoping for one of the biggest upsets in NFL history this Sunday. Go San Diego!!!

Did Anyone Else See Juno?

I don't really post many reviews, but every once in a whil I find two seconds when I can say a lil sumthin sumthin. I saw Juno on Friday and it did not disappoint. It's such a captivating, feel good movie. The dialogue in here is just so funny and creative.

The movie starts off with a bang literally, and the comedy begins within the first few minutes. The main character Juno, played by Ellen Page, is a breakout star! She nails every single one of her jokes. She is hilarious! Juno's not a love story it's a life story. She does the best she can with what she has and remains true to herself.

The movie also has really good music. But I heard the soundtrack doesn't come out til mid-January. Here goes the trailer.

The past three seasons of Run's House has brought you the often-hilarious struggles of Rev Run, who has tried to strike a balance between being a father, a reverend and an icon while keeping America's first family of hip-hop securely grounded. From homework and sex education to a Las Vegas wedding and Run's oldest daughter, Vanessa, appearing half-naked in Maxim magazine, the family has proven it's able to laugh at itself, and we laughed along with them.

Season 4 of Run's House finds the family at the beginning of a summer full of surprises. Rev Run's daughters are anxious to fly the coop and move to Los Angeles, while Run and Justine prepare their home for a possible new addition to the family. JoJo is graduating from high school and on a quest for a record label deal, Diggy is starting to like girls and Russy is growing up fast. But when circumstances pull Angela and Vanessa from their New York City apartment, they land back at Run's House for the summer, and Rev Run knows this could be the last time his entire family is under one roof.

Update On My Parents' House

My mom and sister had to travel for a family event and they got back Monday night. My mom's flight was delayed, so she missed her transportation back to her house, so I had to drive a few hours to take her home. On the drive home at around 11 p.m., I saw three huge glowing fires.

Then we finally got home. When we looked behind our house, it looked like one of the fires wasn't too far away. By this time it was 2 a.m., we decided to pack up just in case we were told to evacuate. We packed up the house, then we went to my aunt's house (she was out of town at the time). The fire was really close to her house. When my sister asked the only lady she saw on my aunt's street what was going on, the lady said that they were told to evacuate at 5 p.m. - my sister and mom were evacuating at 2 a.m. At 2 a.m., the fire was literally across the street and the nearby street was closed and blocked off.

The winds cooperated by the grace of God and my aunt and parents' houses were saved. There's no doubt in my mind that if the Santa Ana winds did not subside that night, our houses may not be still standing.

I'm okay and my family's okay, but I can not say the same for the thousands of people who have lost their homes. Thank you to those who commented. I really appreciate it.

* Most of my posts will be made later today. POTP will get back to our normal posting schedule next week.
