Let me start out by saying a few things: I like Chris Matthews, dunno why, but I always have. 2) Whenever a public figure says something racial, I applaud inside because it gets people talking about the underlying issues that they're too afraid to bring to the forefront because issues related to race make some people uncomfortable. And 3) I'm African-American. Most of you long-time POTP readers know this cause I had a few pics of myself on POTP's MySpace. Some people suggest that I'm just about every race other than black when they leave ridiculous comments. I may blog like a blonde soCal bimbo, but I'm not one.

Moving on. After Barack Obama gave his Presidential victory speech, Chris Matthews said, "I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often." Chris has a bit of a man crush on Obama and he's often said that the President is a great public speaker.

To further Chris' point, after watching President Obama give his State of the Union address, last night on MSNBC, Chris said: "I forgot he was black tonight for an hour... I think he's taken us beyond black and white in our politics, wonderfully so, in just a year."

Whenever one looks at Barack Obama, at least when I do, I see a handsome bi-racial man; but I agree with Chris that we look at Barack as a president first, and a black man second. Basically, Barack Obama is the President of the United States who happens to be black and we're not focusing on his skin color, we're focusing on his leadership and his message and he reminds us all of the progress people of color have deserved but have finally attained hundreds of years later.

Thank you Chris for having the balls to tone down the safe and politically correct speak in favor of being honest and real!

Tareq and Michaele Salahi are planning an exclusive tell-all interview that may earn them six-figures. The interview will allegedly be taking place on CNN.

The Salahis crashed the White House state dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh last week. They are trying to get a spot on Bravo's The Real Housewives of D.C. and they had a film crew filming Michelle and Tareq as they got ready to meet Mr. President.

Michelle posted the following message on her Facebook page: I was honored to be invited to attend the First State Dinner hosted by President Obama & the First Lady to honor India.

The aspiring socialites are no strangers to controversy as they have been named, either as defendants or plaintiffs on 16 different lawsuits. One of their businesses is in bankruptcy. Tareq has even sued his own mother.

The shameless fame hungry couple won control of Oasis Winery from Tareq's mother in 2007, but ran the establishment into debt. Oasis filed for bancruptcy in February, citing the IRS and American Express among the unpaid creditors.

Tareq and Michaele may face serious criminal charges for their publicity stunt. Although they're in debt, maybe talking with CNN isn't the best idea.

President Barack Obama is this years Nobel Peace Prize winner! The news that our fabulous President won the prestigious award was announced this morning in Oslo, Norway.

Obama won the award for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples". So in Snarky terms, he won because he's a lover, not a fighter.

"We are awarding Obama for what he has done. Many other people and leaders and nations have to respond in a positive way" to President Obama's diplomacy.

He's good people. He has appealed to reduce nuclear weapons and would like to restart peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians. He is only the third sitting U.S. President to win the Nobel Peace Prize. The other two Presidential winners were Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. Congrats Obama!

In an explosive, well it least it sounds that way to me, new book titled Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage, author Christopher Andersen reveals Michelle's jealousy and Barack Obama's annoyance over all his horny female fans.

On a number of occasions, Barack Obama would hide his shock and surprise when women would reach for him, allegedly professing, "Jesus, I wish they'd stop grabbing my ass."

Understandably upset, Mrs. Obama had words of her own for her husband's admirers. "I want to tell these women, 'Back off,' Andersen quotes her as saying. "It's just embarrassing, that's all."

But it gets better! Michelle Obama would give Mr. President the silent treatment when she would get upset over admirers. A quoted source also says that Michelle "managed to help remove" a certain campaign worker whose relationship with Barack had grown closer than she liked. I love you, Michelle!

Why not? If all these sluts are grabbing your man's booty, or as Faith Hill told one Tim McGraw fan, "You don't go grabbin' somebody else's husband's balls!" Sometimes you have to tell a skank off, other times that b*tch best be "removed!"

Also, Michelle has told the author to "Get a life!" I guess she won't be attending any book signings.

Always the charismatic, sexy joker, President Barack Obama addressed former President Jimmy Carter's comments about Americans being racist toward Barack.

Barack said that he was actually black before the election. Then David asks him how long he's been black, and it's pretty hilarious.

As an African-American, I can say that Barack must know that some of the venom directed toward him is because of his ethnicity, but he's not dumb enough to say so publicly. White people put Barack Obama in office. He wouldn't be there without the votes from all races, so he's not going to ostracize his supporters by making generalized statements about an entire race.

I lied. The Kanye West and Taylor Swift story isn't over yet. TMZ got its hands on the audio of Barack Obama saying that Kanye's a you-know-what.

Immediately after Barack insults Kanye, the crowd laughs and Barack tries to backtrack, saying, "Nooo. Nooo. I'm assuming all of this. Where's the pool? Cut the president some slack!"

I dunno about you, but I think Mr. President just got himself some new fans.

Barack Obama said that Kanye West is a jackass. The President of the United States, yes, I typed out Barack's title for emphasis, was conducting an interview with ABC reporter Terry Moran when Moran tweeted:

"Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a "jackass" for his outburst at the VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."

The White House did not respond to the off-the-record leak from Terry, but his Tweet was immediately deleted. ABC issued a statement, saying:

"ABC News employees prematurely Tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview."

I love it! This story made my night last night when I heard about it on Twitter. I also love that "jackass" is a kinder way of saying "f*cking a*shole." I don't use it at all, but whenever I hear "jackass" being used, that's what I take it as.

Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina is receiving a lot of attention for his outburst last night during the President's speech to Congress.

After Barack Obama said that his health care reform bill would not provide health coverage to illegal immigrants, Joe Wilson yelled out, "You lie!"

Uh, okay. That's maturity at its best. Joe's b*tch a*s behavior prompted Sen. John McCain to say that what Joe did was "totally disrespectful" and he demanded that Wilson apologize to Mr. President.

Joe has apologized. What a dork.

President Barack Obama turned 48 today and damn does he look good for his age! He also shares his birth date with veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas, who turned 89.

How sweet is he for surprising her with cupcakes during today's White House briefing when it's his day! That may have been just what he needed to do to keep Helen from asking tough questions on his birthday. She can be a hardcore b*tch!
