Quote Me Of The Day (Page 8)

Quote Me of The Day: John Mayer

On Jennifer Aniston:

"It's really nice to have somebody in life have your back. That girl knows me ... so whether I go to bed alone or not, to have somebody who knows you in this world, that's a really nice thing."

On rumors he's gonna have a variety and sketch show on CBS:

"There are rumors. I'm going to keep them rumors for the time being. I want everything to be as baked as possible before it comes out of the oven.

If Mayer were to have a show, he said, "it would be nice to go back to a form of entertainment that doesn't involve judging and criticizing. I'd like to entertain people with their phones down. It's time to watch TV and be entertained by great artists without having to have a say in it."

John could actually be in love with Jennifer and hope she's "the one," but it wouldn't be until 12 years and 2.3 kids together later that I'd start to believe it.

Quote Me of The Day: Joel Madden

"Just traveling, being abroad and seeing how the world truly looks at us and feels about us hasn't been that fun over the last eight years.

"There's a new kind of American spirit...Everyone in America is proud to be an American, everyone in America is pro-America"we've just needed a leader to make us feel good about ourselves, and I think Obama does."

Fuck yeah Obama does!!! His win is huge and citizens and leaders worldwide are embracing his win as a huge step in America's tainted racist history. I love the energy, watching people out in their Obama gear these days and Obama's not even in office yet! :)

Quote Me of The Day: Katy Perry

"I think certain parts of the word - especially in the U.S. - are just dying to be offended. I'm aware of people's opinions, but I won't change how I express myself as an artist."

I'm not really a Katy Perry fan because she sounds like a dude and she's a faux lesbian/ bi-curious woman just for publicity and sales. I can't respect that.

Quote Me of The Day: Isaiah Washington

In the Nov. 17 issue of TV Guide, ex-Grey's Anatomy standout star Isaiah Washington weighs in on the firing of Brooke Smith, an actress who played a lesbian on Grey's Anatomy, a role execs felt uncomfortable with so they gave her the axe.

"I looked at a brilliant actress, whom I have adored since I first saw her in Silence of the Lambs. For her to be treated this way, I find very interesting. The fact is that, just before the holidays, you have a mother, a wonderful actress removed from a steady income without the proper reasoning behind it...

"You look at the way another consummate professional [is] being treated because her character, her story line [has] potentially made producers uncomfortable. [Grey's creator] Rhimes is getting the raw deal.

"Now that I see what they're doing to a show that I love and I care about, I think it's disgusting. The fact that Shonda has been put in this position is extremely unfair.

"It's unfortunate because it was probably, at the time, the most progressive show on television. Now I see it [being] systematically torn apart."

I couldn't agree more with everything Isaiah said. Thanks for rep'n this poor woman who was exploited and treated like dookey. Her character could have gone back to men for dildo's sake! Brooke's character didn't have to be written out entirely and I hope she finds work soon. She's a great actress.

Quote Me of The Day: Joe Simpson

Ashlee Simpson Dad

On his daughter Ashlee.

"The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman. She's concerned about what she eats and how she prepares for the child and [details like], is the baby's room 'green' enough? It's a transformation you never expect as a parent " you pray for it, but never expect it. She's ready for this baby!"

The World and Celebs React to Obama's Win

Jessica Alba: "Incredible." "I was surprised that McCain brought race into his speech. I guess he was trying to bring people together."

Oprah:

"There are not even words to talk about what this night means. It's one of the greatest moments I could ever imagine. That's how great it is. It feels like hope won. It feels like there's a shift in consciousness. It feels like something really big and bold has happened here, like nothing ever in our lifetimes did we expect this to happen."

Kanye West: "HI MOM, OBAMA WON!" (His mom passed away about a year ago.)

Usher: "This will go down in history, in black history, for all of the sacrifices that the great Joseph Lowery and Martin Luther King made, this actually pays off for their sacrifice. ... I'm speechless. I don't even know what to say."

Colin Powell: "We're very, very proud to have a new American President who also happens to be African-American ... As I watched [the news anchors call the election] â€" pretty moving moment. Everybody cried ... I am overjoyed."

Pete Wentz: "My parents met working for [Obama's running mate on one of his early campaigns]. If it weren't for Joe Biden, I would not exist as a human being. ... I am proud to be a part of history in the making."

Madonna: "I'm so fâ€"ing happy right now"

Lindsay Lohan: "YES WE CAN."

Samantha Ronson: "YES WE DID!!"

Fergie: "It was excellent." "It was amazing."

Ethan Hawke: "I got up at 7:20 this morning, and I voted for Barack. I haven't had this much optimism in a long time. Tonight is historic!"

Quote Me of The Day: Nelly

Nelly kissing Ashanti

On his "friend" Ashanti who he's been dating on and off since 2003.

"That's the thing between me and her, we just like having fun. I think it's always serious when you can hang with a person continuously ... and ["still"] have fun."

Earlier this summer, Ashanti would only call Nelly a "good friend." But, she coyly told PEOPLE, an engagement could "definitely [be] in the future."

Quote Me of the Day: Pete Wentz

On Ashlee:

"I think she wants to just be not pregnant anymore ... It's a struggle to go up and down the stairs. Going out in public is insane."

On what the baby's name will be:

"I want to meet [the baby] first," says Wentz, adding that he has a formula in place for when the time comes. "My friend said it â€" you've gotta have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so he'll get work either way."

So Ashlee and Pete won't be having their own Zuma Nesta Wentz?! Yes. :)

Quote Me of The Day: Lil Wayne

On the delivery of his son, Dwayne Michael Carter lll, on Oct. 22.

"I delivered him. I held the left leg the whole time. It was nasty, very nasty, but it was wonderful. He's the best thing to ever happen to me, next to my daughter."

Quote Me of The Day: Spencer Pratt

On gay marriage.

"Heidi's hair and makeup people are my favorite people in the world and they happen to be gay. So if they wanna go marry each other, good for them."

I like what Spencer's got to say! In douchebag layman's terms, he makes a decent case.
