Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are on a path to the altar. Gyllenhaal has quietly moved into Witherspoon's $5 million L.A. home and is already part of her fiercely guarded family.

The actor, 27, is even helping to raise her two kids �" Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4 �" from her former marriage to Ryan Phillippe.

"Marriage is definitely what they are working toward," a source close to the actress, 32, tells Us of the couple who've been together for a year. "They literally don't want to spend any time away from each other," a Witherspoon pal adds.

Yes, yet again, another female starlet is the victim of tabloid writers claiming she has a "baby bump." Who you think the baby daddy be? Is it a large bottle of water, or a sandwich? I'm guessing yogurt and a banana.

Reese Witherspoon's ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, was recently on the Howard Stern show talking about how he thinks Reese's new man Jake Gyllenhaal is a 'good dude', but tries to avoid looking at pics of Reese and Jake together.

"It's bizarre. There's plenty of times when I say, 'What a strange situation I've found myself in.' But at a certain point you know it's going to happen, so you are prepared in some fashion." Phillippe �" who dated co-star Abbie Cornish around the time of his 2006 split from Witherspoon �" was mum when it came to talking about his own love life. "It's just something I would really rather not address," he says. "It has to be a 'no comment.' "

Now isn't that a bunch of crap? It's o.k. for Ryan to talk about Reese's love life but God forbid he be asked about his own. Just admit that banging Abbie was what tore up your relationship with Reese, Ryan!
