Whew! Inhale, exhale, Firecracker be nice. Rihanna is promoting her comeback album, Rated R, so she's finally talking about domestic violence. Keep in mind that Rihanna was attacked by Chris Brown nearly one year ago, but she has a record to sell, therefore it's time for advocacy!

Rihanna tells Glamour, "I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. Now I can help speak for those women." - This is news to me! Alright, I'll post the rest of her comments without saying much. I don't consider speaking to the media while saying 'My album drops November 23rd' as standing up and representing anyone but her record label and herself, but I digress.
Glamour actually named Rihanna the Woman of the Year. She will be honored in a special ceremony at Carnegie Hall on Nov. 9. Perhaps I need to back off. Maybe I would have crawled under a rock if the world saw a humiliating picture of my face all bruised up. It's easier to point fingers when you haven't been there. I still think 'Woman of the Year' is a stretch for many reasons, but Glamour's interested in a*s-kissing with RiRi, and they do it well.
Rihanna on where she's been in the past nine months:
"My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see. They have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. Now I can help speak for those women."
