Selena Gomez isn't staying quiet about her brief romance with Twilight's Taylor Lautner.

The 16 year-old self-professed virgin until marriage says that her and Taylor were just so busy.

"He's one of my good friends," Selena Gomez -- who showed off a new, shorter bobat the 20th Annual A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. "I'm single," she went on. "Definitely single."

The pair -- who had been spotted getting cozy in Vancouver -- called it quits because "they are just really busy."

Twilight comes out this Saturday and apparently there are The Twilight Awards? Never heard of it. Anyway, this video is cute and I am pretty excited for New Moon because I'm a dork like that.

I have been trying really hard to keep the Twilight posts down to a minimum so that Firecracker doesn't attack me, but I thought you should all know this. Taylor Lautner who played Jacob Black in the Twilight movie has signed on to reprise his role in the sequel New Moon.

The confirmation came last night from a statement made by the director Chris Weitz via Stephanie Meyer's Website. Stephanie wrote the books of which the films are based on. She also included a statement:

I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

This comes as such a relief to most of the series fans. It was reported several weeks ago that Taylor's role was in jeopardy. The new director was debating on whether to keep Taylor or re-cast. Michael Copon was also up for the role. Thankfully Chris Weitz listened to the fans and stuck with Taylor.
