Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg Was High During Her Oscar Speech

An old video obtained by TMZ of Whoopi Goldberg during her voice-over work for 'The Pagemaster' has popped up, and in a candid conversation on the tape, Whoopi admits she was stoned at the 1991 Academy Awards. Whoopi says she smoked a joint before the show and was shocked when she was announced as the winner for Best Supporting Actress.

"Honey, when he said my name and I popped up I thought Oh F*ck! Oh F*ck! Okay, up the stairs, 1,2,3,4,5.... Okay, around to the podium.. There's millions of people! Pick up the statue! Pick up the statue, okay!"

Whoopi says her mother called afterward and said she knew she could tell she was stoned because her eyes were glistening.

Hey, if Whoopi toked before the Oscars, so be it! Half of the people there are on something whether it be alcohol, coke, pills, or pot. If I was up for a huge award like that, I'd probably be stoned out of my mind too..... Or so drunk I couldn't even make it out of the limo to walk the red carpet.

I've posted Whoopi's acceptance speech after the jump, so check it out and tell us what you think. Could you tell she was puffin' away before her speech?

Michaele Salahi Says Whoopi Goldberg Hit Her, Whoopi Responds To The Allegations

The Real Housewives of DC hasn't even hit the air yet and one of the ladies is already making headlines. The Housewives of DC women paid a visit to The View yesterday to discuss their upcoming show but The View girls also wanted to speak with Michaele Salahi about crashing a party at the White House. Michaele wasn't getting off subject when asked about the party crash so Whoopi Goldberg, who was back stage and not part of the panel at the time, came up next to Michaele and touched her arm and side to get her attention and said to her "'Excuse me, can you get back to the White House, please?"

Whoopi Goldberg Responds To Hitting Michaele Salahi

Michaele was apparently upset by the entire interview and her attorney Lisa Bloom says Michaele thought the experience was degrading.

"She told a show producer she was upset that Whoopi Goldberg had come up behind her and grabbed her arm. The producer went to get Ms. Goldberg, who then yelled a long series of profanities at Mrs. Salahi, accusing her of accusing Ms. Goldberg of 'hitting' her. Mrs. Salahi said she'd never said that, got the producer back in the room, and the producer admitted that 'hit' was her word, not Mrs. Salahi's. Ms. Goldberg continued to verbally berate Mrs. Salahi, refused to apologize for her language or her on set behavior, and left the room."

"Mrs. Salahi's overall experience on The View was degrading and demeaning."

I think this Salahi chick took it too far. Even during the interview when Whoopi interrupted her, she mentioned she felt someone touch her. She said nothing about being hit. The producer is the one who used the term 'hit', not Salahi, but I do believe she's pushing this for more attention. After seeing how she interacts with the house DC housewives, I don't think they would have minded if Whoopi would have punched her anyway.

You can check out the original video of the phantom hit heard around The View, after the jump.

Whoopi Goldberg: 'I Am a Racist, Mel Gibson is Not'

I honestly feel sorry for Whoopi Goldberg at this point. She has a lot of deep-seated inferiority issues and it's really sad. I'd also like to add that members of various ethnicities have complexes and what I said about dark-skinned African-Americans I also believe applies to some Asians, Hispanics and even pale white people too. Heh. Certain individuals seem very damaged by their inability to fit the stereotypical mold of what they believe is superior and worthy, BUT I DIGRESS. I'm not a friggin' college professor.

On today's episode of The View, Whoopi makes light of racial epithets and says that we are all racists.

Okay, let's say that we are all racist... How the eff does that justify Mel's sexism, physical violence and emotional abuse?! Whoopi alleges that bloggers didn't watch the entire episode where she yelled out that "Mel Gibson is not a racist" and "Drunk people say stupid things, but I don't think he was drunk!" We watched the episode honey, which is why we know that you look pathetic as you continue to spit in the face of civil rights activists, Jim Crow victims, my enslaved ancestors (and yours) while creating excuses for why Mel's history of racism should be excused.

Whoopi is almost as tortured as Mel, but in a different way. Here are the two most offensive statements from today's broadcast:

"I myself am a racist. If you cut me off while I'm driving, and I happen to look over, whatever I see, that's what you are! Okay, you are a black ______ or you're a white _____ or you're a female _____. You are everything in the book in my book and I realize given the criteria people are using for racists that I'm a racist. Now if any of you can look in the mirror and say that you've never done that, then you get the right to cast the first stone."

“People called my office… and went off on the young lady who works there. You’re going to call because you think I’m doing something wrong? And you’re going to do the same thing to this young lady that you don’t even know that Mel Gibson supposedly did?"

Nope, Whoopi, some people called your office because they were trying to do TO YOU, not some receptionist, what Mel Gibson ACTUALLY did to the mother of his children. Go f*ck yourself, b*tch!

Video is after the jump.

Whoopi Goldberg is Forcing Me To Blog on My Day Off

HERE WE GO AGAIN! Does anyone know the address to Whoopi's office at The View cause I'd like to send her some skin bleaching cream, overnight. Her 'I'm-black-but-I-want-to-be-white' transformation deserves completion and some skin bleaching will have to suffice until she has numerous plastic surgeries.

Before I talk about Whoopi, I want to mention a comment that was left on the "I'm About To Go In" post which said, "...make the most out of your life and drop the poor poor pitiful me rap and get on with it. fix what ya can and don't sweat the small stuff."

I just want to say that I knew I was opening the floodgates with my post and I knew that people were going to take offense to it, but I'm politically correct enough on this blog, so I said 'to hell with it'... like, if I actually ever used the phrase "To hell with it!" in real life, I probably would've said it right before I hit "publish."

By default, the haters have strengthened my argument and proven me completely right. Case in point: According to the haters I have issues with my color because I date outside my race, I'm an Uncle Tom because I'm black and I don't have a black gossip blog, I'm stupid for making a generalization, and I pity myself because I have to prove that I'm Afrocentric.

Based upon the comments I posted in the paragraph above, you can all clearly see that my black pride was questioned, therefore placing me in a position where I once AGAIN am challenged to prove myself. Which is EXACTLY what I said tends to happen.

None of the reactions I've received at MissJia are a surprise to me. These repetitive attacks are predictable. What I will clarify, though, is that I was throwing NO pity party for myself when I said that I'm often told that I am "so white" and "such a white girl." However, we live in an era where Michelle Obama's not supposed to say that and neither am I, but I just did!

Naturally, there have been moments in time where I would be annoyed with the "You're so white" commentary, keyword: MOMENTS in time. Oprah says that she is still told that she's too white, but guess who is laughing all the way to the bank? Lady O.

Because I am not named Loquisha, Shequanda, Maquita and the like and I "talk like a white girl," that has allowed me to get my foot in the door. Trust me when I say no pity party has been thrown, but when I throw one, you'll be the first to receive an E-vite. I call other black people "so white," and I beat people to the punch and tell them I'm 'The first black blonde girl you'll ever meet' cause I can be ditzy. It's all in good fun, yet naturally I just offended some people by admitting that. The floodgates have been opened, so I'm letting the water continue to flow on out of 'em for these 'MOMENTS in time.'

Whoopi Goldberg Questions Oksana Grigorieva's Motives

Today Whoopi Goldberg was at it again, only 24 hours after she proudly declared that Mel Gibson is her "friend" and therefore "not a racist."

Whoopi is upset that unlike many victims of domestic violence, male and female, Mel's ex-girlfriend is actually fighting back. Oksana Grigorieva recorded her conversations with the anti-Semite and, unfortunately, we've all been subjected to his psychopathic verbal attacks. Whoopi says that Oksana should have taken her evidence to the cops instead of going to the tabloids.... So if Oksana didn't go public with this, does that make Mel's behavior acceptable? Who cares WHY Oksana has gone public, she's courageous for trying to protect herself and taking on such a famous and wealthy public figure.

WHY isn't Whoopi condemning Mel Gibson for his sexism, racism, emotional abuse, and physical violence? Why is domestic violence okay in Whoopi's eyes when her "friend" is the perpetrator? As long as Whoopi keeps her bullsh*t coming, I will continue to speak out about it. She desperately needs to "Shut the f*ck up and just f*cking smile and blow [Mel]" because she obviously feels that he "deserves it."

I'm About to Go In on Whoopi Goldberg Again

Yesterday I went in on Whoopi Goldberg in a post where I refused to be politically correct while providing a much milder version of what people hear and say every single day. My post was published on a black gossip blog, I'll provide the link at the bottom of this post, and I really enjoyed reading the comments, which tended to criticize me whereas POTP readers had positive feedback.

I felt my "rant" was long enough, so I didn't go in-depth with my explanations. To the readers on a black gossip site, they know absolutely nothing about what I post nearly everyday here on POTP. For example, in one of my first posts today I mentioned that 'Brad Pitt is a sexy beast.'

My rant touched upon multiple topics that extend beyond Whoopi Goldberg's disturbing defense of Mel Racist Misogynist Abusive A-hole. I mentioned that I have noticed that darker-skinned black people seem to suffer from a color complex. In one of my comments on the black gossip site, I mentioned that light-skinned black people seem to be among the most Afrocentric leaders in history: Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson, Cornel West and Angela Davis - just to name a few.

I say this as an African-American who has been told that she is "so white" and "such a white girl" for as long as I can remember. When Michelle Obama said that people used to always tell her, "You talk like a white girl" conservative white people got pissed! Some of us won't STFU about certain issues, sorry.

I feel that some mixed and/or light skinned African-Americans have been put in a position where they feel they must prove their "blackness," or have felt compelled to do so, just like my black card is put in question on a regular basis and I, too, have to prove that I know of my history and am proud of who I am.

I believe that darker-skinned individuals are more likely to have subconscious color complexes that emerge in various ways - and that is how I connected Whoopi to darker-skinned individuals. Additionally, I mentioned that some darker African-American males may have a penchant for gravitating towards people of other races and lighter hues. For example, straight haired people want curly hair and vice versa - we sometimes want what we are not, it doesn't necessarily mean that each individual who dates interracially is self-hating and prejudiced, either. I just mentioned the reality of the obvious.

So... without further ado, I will update you on the bullsh*t sprinkles that Whoopi Goldberg spewed on The View today. Naturally, I have to dedicate an entire post to her nonsense cause this one would be too long.

READERS SOUND OFF ON FIRECRACKER'S WHOOPI GOLDBERG RANT - You should give Miss Jia some traffic love (and be sure to check out the comments left on my post in the blue link directly above above when you're bored at work or whatever, some of 'em made me LOL).

Joy Behar: 'Mel Gibson is Not Allowed on The View'

I didn't watch The View today cause I forgot to actually, but it's usually on in the background when I blog. Yesterday, Whoopi got me worked after she defended Mel Gibson for this. Apparently, Whoppi said some nonsense today, too, but I'm holding off on mentioning that for right now.

joy behar

Instead, I just wanted to say that people who are named Joy are amazing individuals and Joy Behar keeps it 100. There's no grey area here and there's no "He spent time in my house with my kids, he's not racist" bullsh*t coming outta Joy's mouth. She says Mel is f*cking racist. The end.

In an interview with The Insider, which airs tonight, Joy says: "Barbara [Walters] would not allow him on the show. Barbara's Jewish, he's an anti-Semite, he's a racist ... so he's done."

Behar points out she does not agree with her co-host. "I am surprised, but that's her position, it's called 'The View.'"

I'm so glad Joy was on the panel to point out the obvious as Whoopi got into some kind of "He was drunk!" defense. I'm still at a loss for words over this, uh ... I don't even know what to call it.

Whoopi continues to put her foot in her mouth, NEW posts I've written about this:

Whoopi Goldberg: 'Mel Gibson Is NOT Racist!'

For those of you who don't know, Firecracker is black and I'm going to be politically incorrect in this post. Read on, but don't say that you haven't been warned.

On today's episode of "The View," the ladies discussed Mel Gibson's audio tape where he tells Oksana Grigorieva "If you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault!" After the audio clip was played, Whoppi Goldberg said, "I don't like what he did here. But, I know Mel and I know he's not a racist. I can't sit and say that he's a racist, having spent time with him in my house with my kids." Goldberg replied.

Does Mel Gibson need to burn a cross on Whoopi's lawn and lynch her kids while painted in black face for her to admit that he's racist?! Based upon the way she's defending him, I think she'd make up an excuse for that behavior too. Whoppi went on to say that drunks say stupid things. It is sad to watch her defend such a vile human being, but I am not surprised. Whoopi has equated the fight for legalized gay marriage to the 400+ year plight of slavery, human rights and civil rights violations inflicted upon black people in this country. Whoopi suffers from a very deep, disturbing complex.

I often blog about how many white guys are "so hot!" and I fail to mention hot black men nearly as much, primarily because this is not a black gossip blog. But make no mistake, I'm a whore who appreciates hot men of all races. In fact, you'd be surprised to know how many black men I've actually dated and had relationships with, but you couldn't detect that based upon some of POTP's posts.

I have teared up every single time someone has told me that they "wanted to be white." I have and always will be proud to be African-American and a moment has yet to go by where I wished that I was white. Black people excel at everything we do, (even committing crimes, ha), and I am very proud of who I am. I'm not a supremacist, but one can not truly be proud of who he or she is when denouncing and demeaning their race, all the while trying to assimilate.

My parents raised me with confidence and they raised me to believe in equality, never mentioning who is light-skinned or dark-skinned, "white devils" or the like. And I don't subscribe to any dark-skinned vs. light-skinned drama that the media tries to hype because you don't see segregation among shades in your everyday black communities.

I am not very light skinned nor am I very dark skinned, and what I have discovered is that the darkest-skinned black people seem to have the most issues with their race. If you notice, in interracial couples with a black man and a woman of another race (this also applies to interracial celebrity couples e.g, Reggie Bush, Eddie Murphy and countless others), the black male tends to be pretty damn dark.

I have also heard the most heartbreaking and disturbing commentary about one's race from dark-skinned black people. It's so pathetic and they look SO ridiculous each time they spew their nonsense. Whoppi Goldberg exemplifies my point. She's dark and has strong African features and she is quick to jump to the defense of a white bigot.

Whoppi has said that she dates white men because they're the ones who hit on her. She's probably bitter. Although, I've dated a lot of white men, every race hits on me and the last thing I would do is defend anyone of any race simply because it's emotionally easier to ignore the truth.

Whoopi doesn't want to say that Mel Gibson is racist, but I'll say it, and so have many others. Whoopi: Go learn some African-American history so you can begin to take pride in who you are, what your people have been through, and why you shouldn't ever excuse prejudice or racism.
