Will.i.am decided to rock the blackface for his pre-VMA performance with Nicki Minaj. Naturally, some folks weren't too happy about it.

Blackface makeup was made of black grease paint or burnt cork on top of cocoa butter. Black people weren't allowed to perform on stage in the 19th century if they weren't in blackface makeup. When a role called for an African-American character, a white person played the black guy, except the white actor's face was covered in black and they had huge light colored clown lips painted on as well, exaggerating and mocking the ethnic features of blacks.

Will.i.am thought it would be cool to rock the blackface. He was then flooded with angry messages on Twitter:

• "Will.i.am. wearing blackface!? What a racist!"

• "Will.i.am just sent us back 1,000 yrs... Really sir, #Blackface in front the grey ppl!"

Will.i.am responded with the following tweets:

• 1st. just because I where all black including head mask as expression and emphasize my outfit, it shouldn't be looked at as racial... Let go of the past. there are far more important things 2 bark about. (Jobs, health, education) not a black man wearing all black everything

• Are you guys serious? my outfit set "black people back 100 yrs" choose your twits wisely. no education sets people back, no jobs, bad health

Look at Will.i.am trying to edumacate us on "more important things" that we should "bark about." How about we talk about dumbf*cks like Will.i.am.stupid in addition to discussing education, jobs, healthcare, the environment, and etc?

Some things will never be funny or acceptable. If a white performer wouldn't hit the stage in a KluKlux Klan outfit, an African-American shouldn't cover himself up in blackface and try to pretend that it's not offensive and historically attached to racism.

There may be trouble brewing with the Black Eyed Peas. Radar Online reports Fergie may be heading out of the band because she's been feuding with will.i.am, and it sounds like the rest of the band isn't necessarily happy with what's going on either. The band has a full tour schedule this summer and is planning a tour in early 2011 but Fergie may jump ship before next year.

“Fergie is saying she wants out of the band and the second half of the tour isn’t confirmed for early next year. Things have gotten really bad with Will.i.Am. And it’s not just Fergie who is clashing with him. So is the rest of the band. His ego is out of control."

The source says Fergie may deny the breakup rumor, but it's 100% true. They also say Fergie is ready to settle down and pop out some babies with husband Josh Duhamel.

"She really wants a baby with Josh. Between that and the bad blood with Will, it looks like the 2011 tour is in big trouble and she’s saying she’s going to split for good.”

This is nonsense. It's not fair for Fergie to phunk with my heart and possibly boom, boom pow her @ss out of the group because she can't get along with will.i.am. My only question is, where is the love?

Black Eyed Peas front-man, will.i.am wants to try his hand at another professional career.

Because he's got skills, will wants to try out for the Miami Dolphins and play some real football!

"I always loved the game of football. I'm sad that I never followed my football dreams. Lately I've been thinking, is it too late to do it now? No way! I'm fast. Ask Reggie Bush. I'll kick his a**. I'm not lying about how fast I am. So I wanna put this talent to use. I wanna try out for the Miami Dolphins."

Don't do it will, save yourself from the ridicule. You may be a fast mo-fo but that doesn't mean you can take a hit from a 250 linebacker, and you can't out-run them all.
