Since her debut, Adele has received plenty of recognition for her work. Her album, 19, debuted at number one and if a four time platinum album in the UK. Her career really took off in the US when she performed on Saturday Night Live in late 2008. In 2009, Adele won Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Along with many other awards Adele has been nominated for, she was also on the ballot for Best British Breakthrough Act, Best British Single, Best British Female and the Critics Choice Award at the 2008 and 2009 BRIT Awards. Of all of those nominations over two years, at the BRITS, she only one the Critics Choice Award in 2008.

No doubt about, Adele has made her presence known in the past two years alone but this fabulous female will be racking up many more awards in the near future. It has only just begun for Adele.
