Alexa Ray Joel Bio
Alexa Ray Joel is the singer, songwriter and pianist daughter of Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley. Her middle name Ray is in honor of the late musician Ray Charles. Nice.
Alexa pursued classical piano training and attended New York University where she honed her skills as a performer.
Her debut EP called Sketches is available at Target and iTunes.
She has played nearly 100 shows since leaving NYU's Musical theatre program. She's really talented. After an alleged suicide attempt in early December 2009, hopefully she will continue to make music her outlet and have many healthy, happy years ahead of her.
