Alexander Skarsgard is the Swedish heartthrob who plays vampire Eric Northman in the hit HBO series True Blood. Though Eric is riding the sexy vampire wave now, he's been a working actor in Hollywood for over a decade, and is fondly remembered by fans of the cult comedy Zoolander as dopey friend of Ben Stiller's moronic male model.

Born in Stockholm in 1976, Alexander is the son of the popular Swedish actor, Stellan Skarsgard and became involved in the industry at a young age. In addition to his role on True Blood, Alexander has had a number of memorable roles lately, including an appearance in Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" video. 2011 will see the release of no fewer than three films featuring Alexander, including the hotly anticipated Straw Dogs, in which he co-stars with James Marsden.

With his chiseled good looks and intense acting style, Alexander may soon be giving the other sexy male vamps of the moment a run for their money.
