Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is a pop rock singer-songwriter, lip syncher and occasional actress.
It wasn't until mid-2004 that Ashlee became an overnight success with her #1 debut album, Autobiography.
Ashlee's quirky personality and seductress stage presence made her a bonafide rising pop rock singer. Then things changed.
In October 2004 while appearing on Saturday Night Live, Ashlee had a lip-synching disaster when her drummer played the wrong song at the wrong moment and her mic was nowhere near to her lips. She has yet to achieve the success that she had before her headline news debacle.
Ashlee also had rhinoplasty surgery and it has worked wonders. Her nose was massive, but now she's hot. She also played Roxanne in Broadway's Chicago, a challenging role that requires singing talent. On audio and video clips, Ashlee actually sounded amazing.
Ms. Simpson-Wentz had a North American tour and film appearance before releasing her second #1 album, I Am Me, in October 2005. Her third disc, Bittersweet World, was released in April 2008 but promotion and an accompanying tour were halted when Ashlee announced that she was knocked up.
Ashlee and Pete Wentz's son Bronx Mowgli Wentz was born on November 20, 2008.
