As a guest I would also like to add my support to Carrie Prejean. She is a more than qualified to be Miss USA. Anyone that can answer a question that directly on marriage is a hero in my book. A homosexual asked the question to back her down on her beliefs. Perez Hilton got dirt kicked in his face and he didn't like it. Too bad. Way to go Carrie.

its simply amazing and not far from scary how many folks are using this dumb moran as a poster child for some anti gay cause, i suppose if daffy frekin duck went on record as against gay marriage he'd be elected president. she failed to show up at required event folks, her comments were way the hell in the past let them go already. ya get a job, dont show up for work, ya get fired. simple. all the effort spent making this a gay/not gay issue is a waste of time... and actually making you so called christians look even more ludicrous.

I am not a fan of beauty pageants, however Carrie Prejean caught my attention. Miss Prejean was sadly judged by her opinion, is this not the United states of America, freedom of speech, freedom to be unique. What I see are two spoiled millionaires Trump and Hilton, that just cannot deal with other peoples opinions. Carrie prejean has every right to say what she believes or feels, notwithstanding that Carrie Prejean is without a doubt the most beautiful contestant that I have seen. My support of her defamation suit is 100 percent.

Carrie, you're basically everything that is wrong with this country. You're so fake you're almost animated. You love thinking you're persecuted. You love the martyr role. You're soaking up your fifteen minutes of fame and you've written a book (about what??) which many sad people will buy, making you rich. You like saying you're Christian without actually doing anything that Christ would have done. It's actually really sad. Go home and think about your life, Carrie. If you want to stop being picked on, stop seeking the media spotlight. Get a job or finish school and stop seeking the mean nasty media out and then complaining that people keep asking you "inappropriate" questions (lol). Or just pose for Playboy and get it over with (before it's too late -- beauty queens have a shelf life, love).

Prejean has a serious personality disorder. To hold her up as any kind of role model will do serious harm to young girls all over the country. What kind of true believer in God would do such great damage to young girls by holding this pathetic and deranged person up for praise? Rethink your priorities people! Do you really want your daughters to follow that path? Fake breasts and sex tapes? Are you out of your minds?

Would someone please tell me why this woman provokes such anger?
* She has hurt no one, not interfered with anyone's life, not caused anyone trouble
* She lives what she speaks. Although I happen to think that this tape thing is nothing the world needs to worry about, regardless, it's in the past. They call her hypocrite, but never explain the discrepancies between her professions and her life.
* Her famous statement about gay marriage was
a. Nearly identical to statements by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton
b. Prefaced by praise for America where choices differing from hers are possible.
c. Addressed only marriage, specifically, nothing about other kinds of relationships.
* Her religious professions are, as far as I know, promoting good as she understands it to be, and do not degrade anyone.
* Her detractors have a giddy time over some photos that wouldn't get a yawn (at least, as moral attack fodder) if they came from any number of celebrity women.
* This sex tape was made for private enjoyment in a relationship that might not quite fit Christian beliefs, but not too many of her detractors are the kind to get terribly upset about sex before marriage. Not even the Christian ones, at least, not that would cause such rage.
If she'd been married, there would be nothing at all wrong with it, not by Christian standards either. If someone wants to say otherwise, they are mistaken.
* Her boyfriend, who wants to remain anonymous (I wonder why?) never seems to get any heat for betraying her trust in him, but she is shredded for making a tape not unlike plenty of others make. I don't see any rage over sex tape leaks by Pam Anderson, Tonya Harding, Tara Reid, lots of others.
* If she had answered the questions Larry King was relentlessly driving at her, she would have been guilty of a crime. She was (and is) under a court-issued confidentiality order (or agreement, or decree, whatever they call it) and, as King damn well knew, was legally barred from discussing them. If she felt, even subconsciously, that she was edging toward a place where she might wind up blurting out something and catching it too late--King is good at that--she was wise to separate herself from the threat. Obeying the court is more important than any interview.
* The incredible assault by Perez Hilton gets maybe a bit of criticism for its appalling incivility, and the pageant people were issuing statements of various kinds calling her a bigot, and worse, for weeks after the pageant. Shanna Moakler still does.
* If she violated the morals clause of her contract, well, that's bad. But don't tell me that this rage against her is because of that. What if it turned out that the girl who won over her had also lied about something in her past? Even if she lost her crown, don't tell me the big world out here would be storming at her the way they do at Prejean.
Anyway, those clauses are archaic, sexist, intrusive and overreaching as they stand. Nothing Carrie did could possibly bring shame on the pageant, at least, nothing the public has any right to be concerned about.
