Chris Brown Bio
Christopher Maurice Brown is a singer/actor who is best known for his impeccable dance skills, hit songs and film roles. He is the boyfriend of pop singer Rihanna.
Chris began dancing at the age of 2! He was also an aspiring rapper, but his mother told him he has the pipes to make R&B records and he later became a pop star. At the age of 16, Brown's first album Chris Brown was released on Jive Records. The addictive single "Run It" topped the Billboard Hot 100 and the record has sold over two million copies in the United States.
Brown's second studio album Exclusive was released around two years later in November 2007. It features the hits "Kiss Kiss" and Jordin Sparks duet "With You," which peaked at #2 on Billboard's Hot 100. Exclusive has been certified Platinum.
Brown has also collaborated with Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Lil Mama, and Bow Wow. It is his jaw dropping dancing that draws comparisons to Usher and Michael Jackson, however, unlike his predecessors, Brown is much different. For starters, he is too young to legally consume an alcoholic beverage and he's segueing into acting very early in his career.
Chris has been the opening act on the Australian leg of Beyonce Knowles' Beyonce Experience tour and he had a main role in 2007's Tyler Perry film This Christmas.
Brown said that he witnessed his mother's boyfriend domestically abuse his mother from the age of seven to thirteen. Ironically, on February 8, 2009, Brown turned himself into the LAPD for his alleged attack on girlfriend Rihanna. On March 5, 2009, he was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats.
