David Cook Bio

David Cook is a rock singer-songwriter who won American Idol's seventh season. Preceeding his idol reign, David released an album, Analog Heart. 

His first mainstream studio album is self titled and was released on November 18, 2008. Luckily the disc has been certified Platinum, baby! Whew. I kind of worried that David Archuleta would do better.

At the age of 12 David received his first guitar, it was a Fender Stratocaster. He also sang and performed his heart out in middle school and high school, performing in The Music Man, West Side Storyand Singin' in the Rain. 

David was also an avid baseball player and earned a theater scholarship to the University of Central Missouri. He switched majors after two semesters and graduated with a degree in graphic design in 2006. While in college, he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa.

David was also dating former Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell, but they're over now. I hope he moves on to bigger and better hos and accomplishments.
