Bio
Drita D'avanzo is the Mob Wives castmember whose husband Lee D'Avanzo is serving time in prison for bank robbery. Lee is believed to be the leader of the Bonanno and Colombo crime family farm team, whatever a "farm team" means.
She has two daughters: Aleeya, 9, and Gizelle, 3.
Drita comes from a strict Albanian household and she was not supposed to marry someone outside her race, but she did when she married an Italian.
Raised in the projects after her family settled there from Albania, her father raised her tough and she was never allowed to cry.
Before Drita gave birth to her first daughter, their father Lee was sentenced to serve 8 years in prison. She had their child and stood by him because he promised not to leave her again.
While Lee was locked up for the first time, she studied to become a make-up artist and worked for high end cosmetic companies. When Lee was released from prison, they built a new home, had a second baby and Lee got a legitimate job. However Lee was arrested and sentenced to serve 2-5 years in prison for similar crimes. She struggles to raise her children as a single mother while her man is behind bars.
