Frances Bean Cobain Bio

Frances Bean Cobain is the daughter of Courtney Love and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide when Frances was just 20 months old. When Courtney was pregnant with Frances she gave an interview to Vogue which she says they took out of context when they said she admitting to using heroine after she found out she was pregnant. Frances' life has been filled with drama and turmoil from the get-go.

The first time she was taken from her parents custody was when she was just two weeks old. In 2003, she was put in the care of her grandmother while Courtney was in the hospital, but was returned to her mother several months later. Six years later, her grandmother and Kurt's sister Kimberly Cobain were awarded temporary co-guardians of Frances and a week later the judge ordered a restraining order prohibiting Courtney from having contact with Frances.

Now that she's of age and considered an adult, she no longer has to deal with her mothers erratic behavior and Frances can focus on being the fabulous, artistic, genuine woman that she can be. She's already on her way as she just did modeling work with Hedi Slimane in August 2011.
