Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon is a former fashion model who has appeared in print ads for Avon, Mary Kay, and Clairol, and has also modeled in catalogues for Lerner New York and Neiman Marcus. She also launched a line of children's jewelry called Petit Bijou in 2008. 

Garcelle is also an actress and may be best known for her role as Assistant District Attorney Valerie Heywood on NYPD Blue and has appeared in movies such as Coming to America, Wild Wild West, and I Know Who Killed Me.

Garcelle has a son, Oliver from a previous marriage to Daniel Saunders which ended in the 90s. She tied the knot with CAA agent Mike Nilon in 2001 and gave birth to twin boys Jax Joseph and Jaid Thomas in 2007.
