Gilles Marini

Bio

Gilles Marini is a French actor and model known for playing "the naked guy" Dante in Sex and the City: The Movie and competing with professional dancer Cheryl Burke on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars.

The undeniably sexy star began working as a baker at his father's bakery since he was 8 years old. I hope his baking was supervised!

After graduating from high school Gilles joined the French army and was stationed in Paris. While in Paris he acted as a fireman for the famous Brigade des Sapeurs Pompiers de Paris.

During his Paris residency, Gilles met famous photographer Fred Goudon introduced him to modeling. After fulfilling his military duties, Gilles packed up and moved to the States where he could learn English while working as a model.

His career began in his early 20s. One of his first jobs was appearing in a Bud Light TV commercial. He made his acting debut at the age of 29, in the 2005 horror flick Screech of the Decapitated. Gilles has also appeared in The Bold and the Beautiful and Passions.

Gilles is happily married to wife Carole. They have a son, Georges, and a daughter, Juliana.

Shawn Johnson won Dancing With the Stars season 8. Shawn beat out Melissa Rycroft and Gilles Marini and took it all home. The short contestant is a great dancer with a bright future ahead of her.
