Bio

Jake Gyllenhaal is a film actor and a beneficiary of nepotism. The son of a producer/writer and director, Jake began acting since childhood.

When he was in the fifth grade he played Billy Cyrstal's son in City Slickers (1991). In 1994 Jake appeared in Homicide with Robin Williams; the film was directed by his father.

Though Jake was receiving praise for his performances, he attended Columbia University while continuing his creative pursuits.

In 2002 Entertainment Weekly named Jake one-half of its "It Gene Pool." He shared the title with his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Some of Jake's most memorable work includes Donnie Darko, The Day After Tomorrow and Brokeback Mountain. He was also brilliant in Jarhead but received an Oscar nod for Brokeback Mountain.

Jake has also dated Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon.

The man makes me drool. He is gorgeous and really sweet in person.
