Jennifer Hudson is an Academy award winning actress and soul singer-songwriter.
JHud is one of the few actors to have won all four major screen acting awards, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as a Grammy Award and more than twenty other prizes. Dayum!
Jennifer Hudson was a finalist on the third season of American Idol. She received harsh criticism from Simon Cowell and she was voted off.
Lucky for Jen, losing the competition was the best thing that could have happened to her! She went on to star in 2006's Dreamgirls for which she has won numerous awards including her very own Oscar.
Her self-titled debut album was released in 2008 and soon certified Gold by the RIAA, spawning the #1 single "Spotlight."
In late 2008, Hudson's mother, brother, and nephew were murdered. Hudson went into seclusion mourning the loss of her family.
In 2009, Hudson re-entered the spotlight when she performed at the Super Bowl XLIII, the Grammy Awards, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

People please stop hating on Jennifer and her man. Jealousy is a sickness. Jennifer and David been dating since 2007. It is now 2009, how long does it take for one to get to know the other. They are madly in love with each other. David is a real man who know exactly what he wants in a lady. The hell with all the bull yall talking. The couple are getting married and they are going to have a family. Please, mind your own business, and leave theirs alone. They are both able to make very good decision without your input. Take a look at your own mess up life. Jennifer and David is living the fabulous life. Yes, he made a msitake by going on a trashy show, but so what we learn from the mistakes we make. David is just the type of man Jennifer needs in her life, and Jennifer is the type he needs also. A match made in heaven. A very beautiful couple togather.
