Kelly Clarkson is a singer, songwriter, and arguably the most successful winner of American Idol.

Kelly was in 7th  grade when a teacher noticed that she had some pipes and urged her to join the school choir.

After high school Kelly went to Hollywood, appearing as an extra on an episode of Sabrina, The Teenage Witch and working at a movie theater. Kelly also promoted Red Bull energy drinks and worked as a cocktail waitress at a comedy club before auditioning for American Idol.

Kelly won American Idol with a whooping 58% of audience votes!

She went on to release the craptastic movie From Justin to Kelly with American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini before releasing her debut disc Thankful.

Kelly's second album, Breakaway, was a top-selling album, with five million copies sold, all of the singles were massive including "Since U Been Gone" "Behind These Hazel Eyes" and "Because of You."

Breakaway earned Kelly Grammys for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, respectively, at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards in early 2006.

Clarkson released My December, the studio follow-up to Breakaway, in 2007. My December bombed!

Kelly had also ignited a feud with label exec and successful mogul Clive Davis when she said that he doesn't fit her demo and she'll make the music that she wants to. That's why it flopped, hun!

In 2009, Kelly returned to the scene with a hit single "My Life Would Suck Without You." Kelly's newest disc All I Ever Wanted is a billboard favorite even though all of the tracks were leaked one month before its official release.
