Bio

Kris Humphries was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the young age of 10, Kris was a competitive swimmer and was the top 10 year old in the nation in 6 events, second to a young Michael Phelps in the remaining events. Kris gave up swimming at the age of 12 and began focusing on basketball. After graduating from Hopkins High School, Kris attended the University of Minnesota.

After finishing his college basketball career, Kris was drafted by the Utah Jazz in 2004 as the 14th pick but was traded to the Raptors just two years later. After two years with the Raptors, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks but was traded again to the New Jersey Nets in early 2010.

Kris began dating Kim Kardashian late in 2010 and proposed to her on May 18 by spelling out 'Will you marry me?' with rose petals on Kim's bedroom floor. She happily accepted and is currently planning their wedding.
