Lil Wayne is a talented rapper and singer songwriter. He has many nicknames including Weezy, F Baby, Young Wayne, Dr. Carter and more.

The creative lyricist has had a 13-year spanning career, with multiple multi-platinum selling records under his belt. He has been featured on many commercially successful hit singles and he has made huge hits himself!

Lil Wayne is a hard working, pint-sized dude. He has recorded over 1,000 songs and freestyles. He has released more music in the past two years alone than the legendary Tupac Shakur.

Lil Wayne said that his Tha Carter III took more time to created because he "wanted it to be a classic."

Tha Carter III's first single "Lollipop" showcases Wayne's clever lyrics.

Lil Wayne was discovered by Cash Money CEO Brian "Birdman" Williams when a mutual friend introduced him to the pre-teen aspiring rapper. At the age of 15, Wayne joined creative forces with BG, Juvenile and Turk to form The Hot Boys. Their debut album was called Get It How U Live. The indie album sold over 400,000 copies.

GQ Magazine named Lil Wayne as its “Man Of The Year” for 2007. Rolling Stone Magazine tagged him as “Best MC of 2008” and Blender Magazine (2008) named him the “Best Rock Star Alive.”
