Bio

Paul McDonald auditioned during the Nashville stop of Season 10 of American Idol. Paul was born in Huntsville, Alabama, but now lives in Nashville. Paul is the lead singer of the band The Grand Magnolias.

Paul says that he didn't get to showcase the full range of his musical talent on the show - he plays the guitar, keys and tambo.

After graduating from high school in 2002, he went to Auburn university where he majored in Biomedical Sciences.

Paul was kicked off of American Idol in April 2011, that same month he confirmed his relationship with Twilight's Nikki Reed.
